Pleb's 3D Collection [IX35 Grille!]

Hey! Aaron here!

I thought I would make this thread to showcase any 3D stuff I create for the game, and you can follow me on my journey as I improve my modelling skills! If you have any grilles you want me to make and put in the game, feel free to ask me in this thread!

Here is a list of all the fixtures I have created so far!

HOW TO INSTALL FIXTURES:
Open the zip file with 7zip or something similar, drag the folder, for example "PlebVent01" folder from 7zip to (Install Dir.)/assets/meshes/carparts/Vents (Or Grilles, depending on what kind of fixture you have downloaded)

Some of these fixtures will also be official content, so if you end up with duplicate grilles, just delete the oldest version of that grille.

Re: Pleb's 3D Collection

I think you should not post only when you have become 'good' (what is good?), But I think it would be real good if you post all your created stuff here (including with wireframes, press F4) to show people what you do and get feedback ;)

S15 Grille

Hey guys!

Finally, I have got around to opening up 3DS Max to try and sharpen my skills. And, after many days of problems and workarounds, I bring you my very first finished fixture! A (not) Nissan Silvia S15 grille! It originally was going to be a grille, but I ran into many problems with it and so I decided to try and adapt it to be a vent instead, and all was well! Plus it means you don't just have to use it as an S15-looking grille, you can move it apart!

Image
Image

It doesn't come in any variants yet, I'm still learning the in's and out's of things, bear with me!
Now, here's a design utilizing my vent:

[NOTE TO DEVS: If any of my fixtures are of a high enough standard to be officially put in game, just PM me and I'd be happy to accept!]

HOW TO INSTALL:
Unzip the download, and add PlebVent01 folder to (Install Dir.)/assets/meshes/carparts/Vents

A big thanks goes to WizzyThaMan for giving me great help whenever I ran into problems!

Cheers!
Aaron

Re: Pleb's 3D Collection

Hello again!

So today I decided that I wanted to make another vent (any time I make a grille it crashes the game). But this vent doesn't actually come from any car - it is my own design. Still relatively simple as I am still improving my skills, but you will be happy to know that this vent comes in 2 variants! Body colour and chrome!

This is the updated zip file! Just replace the original version!

(NOT) Ford Focus Grille

Hey guys!

Tonight I have been hard at work on 3DS Max, and I think it's safe to say, I've gotten a lot better. Here we have a rather complicated-ish grille. (It's definitely NOT from a Ford Focus) Again, it took a while for me to work out LUA and material issues, but all is well, and I am glad to present my newest grille!

It comes in two variants, normal, and chrome!

A big thanks to WizzyThaMan for assisting me whenever I had problems!

Again, if any of my fixtures are good enough to be game content, Daffy just hit me with a PM. :)
Cheers!

Re: Pleb's 3D Collection

Hey that ford focus grille thingy, why is it like completely transparent?
Because i really don't see the point in a see through grille, because automation doesn't really fill the emptiness up with much...

Re: Pleb's 3D Collection

Noporian: I can try making a version with a body colour, or black filling between the lines of the grille, because I agree, the parts that can be seen through the grille aren't too pretty.

Re: Pleb's 3D Collection

Okay guys, another vent for you all!

I just modelled this in an AutomationHub Stream in about 20 minutes so I'm proud I could do it in a short amount of time!

It's based on the old Pontiac GTO. No picture yet but I will update the post with one soon.

EDIT: Here's some pics!

2 More Grilles!

Ok guys, I finally uncovered the cause of a bug that I've been trying to fix for so long now, so I have some new fixtures coming your way today!

First one is an original grille for use on old cars. It comes in two variants: The Phat Chrome version and the normal body-colour version.
Credits to WizzyThaMan for the original idea and initial model!

The .zip file will be attached below. See OP for instructions on how to install the mod!

Next grille is one of my personal favourites - the Zenvo grille! The Zenvo's large front grille gave the car sich an aggressive look, and now you can have the same look for your cars!

2 Variants: Body colour and Carbon Fibre!

Next thing on the to-do list is to finish up the Ford Focus grille in 2 parts! Both grilles shown above are in the .zip file below!

Hello again!

This time I have a special fixture! A grille and exhaust combo! I'll get straight to the point with some sexy pics!

And finally, here's a design using the fixture, along with Felgen's amazing wing!
