Hi

Here is the Pelikan Race Track, 7984 m. of emotions.
Why the Pelikan name? you just only have to tilt your head to the left and... :D
Well the track has a mix of bumpy/flat areas also climbs and downs and, of course a looong straight.

I hope you enjoy it.

Ps: Tested and working in B1354.
ED: Working in B1356.

Thanks!, It's Photoshop..., not the best tool for this but when you have some practice with the eliptical tool is not that hard.

Yup  I was expecting it...
I've been playing around with the values but no way.
I've found that the 35th value do not work if it's a straight of a given value (>110m). If I split the straight It also crash.
However It works with curves (I can add many), so I think it's something related with the way that values are read/handled.
I've done many tries and e.g. if you add one more value in sportiness, the sys does not crash....

Btw I've been comparing my file with your lovely track and I've noticed some little differences... sportiness = 0, and comas in the last value of variables..., but nothing changed.

Let's wait for a fix :)

Now that the B1356 is out (thanks devs!) and after a little update in the Pelikan Race Track, here we have another one to test our cars.

The Yunque Raceway is not a high speed track. Due to its old design and age there are some bumpy areas and a good climb close to the tunnel.., summarizing it's a good test for tameness, brakes and cornering of the cars.

Enjoy it!.

Your tracks look very nice. I would like to use your secind track for the Automation World Series because all the tacks i have so far are more on the top-speed side.
If it's ok for you it would be a 1000km race.

Thanks guys!. I'm glad you liked it.., and I hope that you don't mind if I take some graphic elements of yours, you know better integration.. :)

Thanks Hermann95, and help yourself :). The tracks are for the community so no problem.

I've been a bit busy finishing the last track; Mantra Speedway.

This track is composed by a fast sector (almost any car should reach its top speed here) and a mixed one. The 1st timer will give you the quarter mile.

Enjoy it!.

Here it comes the Solstice Race Track, something close to an F1 track, long and fast where the engine power will give you the edge. There's also some slopes and bumpy areas on the way.

Enjoy it!.

The problem I have with this track is the proportions. The corners and straights are set up like in a 1-2 mile-long course, but the total length is nearly 8 miles!

Yep, maybe I missed a couple of sharp corners (and probably it should be shorter) but I made it thinking in racing/testing powerful cars (engines >800hp).
I also think that is good a variety of tracks.

The next one is a twisty track, Mustard race track. Brakes, suspension, etc will have to work like a clock. Tameness should be key here.
I've added the banking 'through' the kerbs and... not anymore  (that 'good idea' took ages).

Enjoy it!.

Just thought I'd share some feedback with you. Here are my times on some of your tracks. All of your tracks are very well made! I think I like Mustard the best. Your "good idea" is a great touch! I need to figure out how to make my tracks look half as good as yours!

Thanks 07CobaltGirl. Now while trying to make an all-rounder car for Bavarian Challenge I've seen that Mustard and Yunque tracks are very useful in that matter.
The Pelikan is also interesting because it's very sensitive with aerodynamics and drivetrain/power engine tweaks.., e.g., you can be improving your times in the first tracks and then a new test in the Pelikan and... holy cr.p! hehe.

Thanks. Well I guess you could make it with Gimp. You need some textures (or patterns) and fill the layers (the track, sand banks, background, etc) and then some details :) .
You just need patience, try things here and there and... practice (lots I'd say).

nialloftara wrote:Totally not a 1992 BRC 1800cc turbo car.

Really good time there. Actually it would be better lap time that my BRC 1100 car..., but I've tried to balance it through almost all the tracks available.
Maybe I've made a shit car (again)... or not haha.
