Ok, this is a complete different thing :) In this case i really misunderstood the system.
So there will be only MTBF limits for the model now.

You said that the technical regulations might change over the season. Does that mean that the participants send you a new car (3 new files) for every race?

Re: Automation World Racing League - Entries open

i'm confused on how to send in the zip file.
1.2) Each entry needs to be in a .zip folder(only one per user with separated folders for each class) named after the user(f.e. mine would be Hermann95)

Each entry is a zip file? That means 3 zip files per user?
With what folders inside? X-D

as an example, i would have done that:

ONE zip file: mer_at.zip
with a folder
"mer_at"
and i this folder are the 3 folders "Engine", "Platform", "Model"
and in each of those folders, i would have 3 lua files for all my 3 cars/platforms/engines.

But i assume that's wrong?

Re: Automation World Racing League - Entries open

In the zip file 'mer_at', you should make 3 folders named after the different classes you are entering, for example, an APT 1 entry would be:

mer_at.zip > APT 1 > (LUA files)

So, just the zip file is named mer_at.
Hermann95, if I got any of this wrong, feel free to shout at me and I'll delete my post. (I am known on the forums for being extremely stupid!)

@pleb: you ae right :)
After all the folders inside are not that important because the files already have the class in the name.

Re: Automation World Racing League - Entries open

sorry for the double post but i have to say something important:

first of all, a special thanks to Nivracer as he will help me running this.

The second thing is: everyone who entered will have to post the car names (and company if there is one) here on the forum. I completely forgot about this before the sign ups. Please post it like this:

Class: (f.e. APT 1)
Car: (f.e. Mower 783C)
Company: (f.e. Loyer)

Thank you for the names.
With regards to entries, i have to say that we don't have much right now. We have 5 in AGT and APT1 and 4 in APT2. Even if i'm competing(which would be a bit unfair i gues as in know the system) we have no more than 6 per class. One thing i'm definitly doing is revising the point system to the old F1 system where 6 or 8 cars got points. This will suit the amount of competitiors better. I'm also thinking of extending the entrie phase a bit but i'm not quite sure about this. However, the season will take place and i hope we will have fun.

I decided to not close the entries now. You'll still have time until Thursday 1st of May.

Re: Automation World Racing League - Entries open

I'd join, but I'm focusing my efforts on expanding my engine database for things like the BRC for now. Also my APT2 based car is just plain awful. I couldn't get an engine with enough economy to push past 430 kW even.
