Wait... wait wait wait wait.... WAIT...

wait.

1600+hp, 3 sec 0-100 and a top speed of 320? Is there a typo somewhere?

Well this DOES go on till 13th. Even though the late reveals are not a very viable marketing move.

Anyways, when's New York?

Press days are March 23rd and 24th, hence the reason why I'm revealing the "greatest supercar ever made by Rennen" on the 23rd. Rennen, founded in New York, has a special place there :)

Sweet, plenty of time to prepare V12 turbo reveals!

People reacted like this everytime they saw the specs of the new supercar. After the press starting to complain about it, Styrka's CEO Garret Aston said
"It's a temporary version, and the goddamn new kid 'round the office brought the temporary/test specs. Calm down people, our aerodynamic enginners will solve that."

Re: 2016 Geneva International Auto Show

I think it's actually a glitch actually.

I have built plenty of cars with 1,300+ Horsepower and cannot seem to make them crack 240 - 250 mph. Not without putting absurd points into the aero tab. You would think the sheer brute force in a low slung sports car would hit 400km/h.

Aero and weight. Big rigs have hundreds of horsepower but can only go so fast with many times the weight of a car and aerodynamics closer to a brick wall. The models have their own drag coefficient, but the aero tab affects that greatly. Rolling resistance is also a factor, as the wider tires that allow for ludicrous acceleration also create a lot of drag at high speeds. And of course there's transmission tuning, since either extreme just prevents the power to be fully unleashed.

I was trying to make an excuse that would kinda fit in real life. But it is really a bug. I can't make it more than 340 km/h even with 1300-1600 HP.

Re: 2016 Geneva International Auto Show

Hence why I said a low-slung sports car, TheCarLover. In a car that weighs 1400kg, has the surface area of any modern super car with aerodynamics set up for MINIMUM downforce and drag, with over 1,400 horsepower, you should be able to hit 400km/h.

Yeah, definitely. Such is the issue with game mechanics. I have a few cars that top 400, but it takes a lot to get to that point.

Re: 2016 Geneva International Auto Show

I should see if I can get one of my cars to 400, since I never really tried. I think Sepang tops out at 380+

Re: 2016 Geneva International Auto Show

My J.S.C Brutale does 400 km/h with exactly 1000 hp but the "powerkit" 1200 hp engine only adds another 15 km/h on top of that.
Took a lot of work balancing between drag and grip and I'm still not happy with Green Hell laptime. I will spend more time on it though,
will see how much better tire quality and more suspension tuning will help.

If we did a hypercar that made same kind of downforce the real current ones do ATM, we'd need nearer 2000 hp to reach 400...(or possibly more than 2000)
The drag simulation is a little off in the "ultra" category. I mean the mad 'Murican Patriot Jetfighter with their 2100 hp proto engine did 468 km/h but that's with
zero lift, zero downforce.

Re: 2016 Geneva International Auto Show

I went through the results for the Dessau top speed record challenge. 400kph were broken with as little as 770hp. So... I guess you need to make some things cheaper to compensate with high enough level of aero work to get there, so you could still sell those cars...
