Automation : Project reality [KHT Augusta shop and drawing]

Hello.
As you might know, or not, I'm sort of the "photoshop automation cars into real life" kind of guy, and in this thread I will post just that - collection of different cool cars from all around automation forums in as much of high quality as I can. I will post previews here with links to full quality pictures. If you think a car deserves to be placed in a real life picture - you can message me and we'll talk about it ;)
Feel free to download - upload, share etc, or do anything you wish with them except modify without permission.

This was a tough one. To get the FOV right I had to zoom out in the game a LOT. And enlarging the car lost most of the quality, which resulted in almost every part of the car being re-drawn by hand using brush tool.

Quite a tendency I notice, even the highest res of pictures I find on the internet are of such inferior quality that I have to get super high resolution wheels to replace the ones that were in the picture, that I thought to use initially.

Seems today all of the stars alligned and mostly smooth sailing for this pic. Had to remove the third car in the background completely and draw half the racetrack, but it turned out fine. Anyways, KHT's Miles Phillips and GG's Kai Kristensen battling it out post AMWEC 15, I guess :D

Had to re-draw manually half the CZ6-R's front, the strips we use for design don't really do well with reflections. But it worked out just fine, really getting the hang of this now. :) Just need more good pictures to paste cars over to.

I wanted to give this picture this "we've been thrashing these cars for quite some time now" look. Don't know if succeeded, but got a few new ideas and techniques out of it. Most of the highlights and shadows on the cars have been fixed by drawing new ones, many things smoothed the extra bits sticking out not relevant to the design removed (shape around exhaust that appears every time you place it in a vent) etc etc etc.

Well this is the final one. Too much of the same cars over and over again, and I feel the whole thing going stale. Going out with a bang though, with probably the best photoshoppie I have done yet :) Lots of fixtures replaced and fixed in photoshop to represent what they should look like in real life, as well as interiors are now implemented, which I had problems with...

I actually had to pretty much hand draw the thing, in fact so much has been drawn by hand that it was enough to make this - click

Sweeeeet. Good job man. The Kelpie looks so menacing from the rear :D

Can't wait for the next.

Haha niiiice does the car justice for sure. I know the pain of having to zoom out to get the FOV. I think if you're in a bind you can always contact Lordred's Stupid High Resolution Help Line. With over 9000pp, even zoomed out I'm sure it'll be more than enough!

But that would require him to get the positioning just right, which is why I didn't bother.

Edit - also updated :P

Where do you get the cars? Do people send you in those cars?

squidhead asked for these ones directly by PMing their creators. But that's not to say what will happen to it in future.

I asked for this batch directly via PM, and the creators thought that it's a good idea, so I got 4 of the most visually cool supercars to play with now. In the future I plan on looking for cool cars and PMing their creators, OR if somebody thinks he has created a masterpiece that MUST be featured here he can PM me.

Thanks. Kelpie uses some very interesting techniques to get these shapes done, I like it aswell. Also while photoshoping CZ6-R, I thought your thread could benefit from bigger pictures and unique camera angles that would show off each car's individual features. The thing looks amazing once you start spinning the thing around, and the full front or just straight back pictures don't do it justice :)

Very cool pic. I particularly like the slight green reflection on the Mistral AGTE, details make perfection ;)

There also SHOULD be an actual Kelpie there, but i've gone so down on opacity that it is barely seen now. But yeah, I didn't think anybody would notice :D
