Re: Petoskey Motors: A Chronology of Cars [1940-1960s]

In 1968 Petoskey released an update for its Brute pickup truck.

While a facelift and new powertrain did improve the truck, sales were slowly declining.
A new version of the Meteor was also released, named the IX-4:

This car featured a new 450 hp version of the 432, prohibitive pricing compromised sales figures, though it remained popular among hypercar enthusiasts.
1968 and 1969 proved to be two notable years for the Montauk. In 1968 the Model Q was launched.

The Model Q was designed to be a luxury themed package. At nearly twice the price of the RTX, it failed to catch on to a wide base. Though sales were decent, they were largely unimpressive.
In 1969 the RTX was tweaked with a few aerodynamic fixtures. While engineers wanted to put the 450 horsepower engine in, it proved too cost prohibitive, so the car retained the 419 horsepower version instead.

With that Petoskey Motors has left the 1960s strong and solid. But what will the 1970s bring to the table?
