Midgård Cars | 2001 Tiburon released - Feedback Welcome

Midgård Cars (shortened: MDGC) was founded in 1950, in Växjö, Sweden. No specific market was picked but the idea was to provide everyone with some high quality Swedish engineering. Midgård Cars produces everything from cheap and uncomfortable point-A-to-point-B cars to high-end luxury sedans.

1951 Criado 2.4

Image

The 1951 Criado 2.4 was MDGC's first car and it had a rather deceiving design. Gold diggers would often mistake the Criado for a luxury automobile, because of the design. Many awkward situations arised when gold diggers would get in the car and see the basic, low quality interior and notice the lack of entertainment and power. In other words, the car was good at revealing gold diggers and it had a low price, had low running costs and would get you from point A to point B.

1953 Portador

Image Image

As soon as the Criado was released, MDGC started working on a large, comfortable sedan; a car that offers more than just transportation on demand. The Portador features premium quality interior and a premium quality entertainment system, but luxury grade interior and entertainment is available if you choose the PortadorLX. The car offers a really comfortable ride thanks to the smooth inline 6, interior and suspension tuned for comfort. If you hate the smoothness of the inline 6, you can order a Portador with a 5.4 liter V8. It won't be as comfortable, but who cares since you now have a V8. To top it all off, the Portador stays classy since it has suicide doors.

1955 Portador Monark

Image

The Portador was a sucessful and comfortable car. In fact, the king of Sweden ordered a handbuilt Portador from Midgård Cars. Soon, more orders came in from oil barons, royal families and dictators. The special version of the Portador, the 1955 Portador Monark, got a hefty dose of prestige and comfort, with the help of a hand crafted interior, luxury entertainment and hand made aluminium panels for the exterior.

1956 Vibora

Image

After some deliberation at the office in Växjö, Midgård Cars decided to design a simple and sporty car. It was going to be one of those cheap muslce cars with loads of wheelspin and a loud as hell V8. The Vibora features a standard quality four seat interior but lacks an entertainment system. The eargasmic sound of a V8 should be enough entertainment... But since people would probably want to listen to their stupid rock and roll and blues, costumers could choose to include a premium quality entertainment system.

The Vibora 329, the basic version, uses the 5,4 liter V8 from the 1953 Portador but if you have something to compensate for, we have the Vibora 366 with a 6,0 liter 348 hp V8, which allows you to compensate by ruining your tires with wheelspin.

Our post-release analysis shows that the Vibora was quite bad in terms of performance. Massive wheelspin and a crappy safety rating is nothing to be proud of so we decided to create a new Vibora sometime in the future.

Re: Midgård Cars

Wow, look at these cars. HUGE fan of the Vibora and Monark. Love these classic designs. Great work. Wonder, in 2014 how much these cars would cost. I'm sure the CEO of Aeroline would love to add one of both to his collection of cars. So would the lead representative of public relations. ;) I want 5.4l Vibora pls!

Wow, thanks for the kind words :D.

The Vibora wouldn't cost more than other cars from the mid 1950s. The Monark on the other hand.... Be ready to obliterate your wallet.

If you want the cars and/or engines, I can send them to you. ;)

1958 Gobernardor

Image

The Gobernardor is a subtle luxury car. It doesn't have design that sticks out, like the 1953 Portador. That shady looking guy with a black market Tokarev pistol couldn't tell if the guy driving a Gobernardor was an upper class douchebag or a working class person. The Gobernardor was, as said before, a stealthy luxury car. No one would break into it and you wouldn't get robbed if someone saw you driving one. Despite this, the Gobernardor offered a smooth and comfortable ride and it came with either a premium or luxury grade interior and entertainment system. Don't drive too fast with this car, since the brakes are pretty shitty.

We assumed that some customers, especially those in the United States of V8, would want a big V8 in the Gobernardor. Therefore, customers could choose the 6.0 liter V8 from the Vibora 366. Enjoy the wheelspin... and slightly less comfortable ride... and horrid fuel economy...

Production years: 1958 – 1963.
Chassis & panels: Galvanized steel ladder chassis with hand made aluminium panels.
Suspension setup: Front MacPherson Strut and rear semi trailing arm

Tires: medium compound road tires (sports compound tires for V8 version), 225mm width, 720mm wheel diameter, 15” rims.
Brakes & safety: one piston solid 300 mm discs and standard 1940s safety technology.

1960 Criado 2.4

Image

The Criado makes a return! The second generation Criado 2.4 comes with some improvements and once again, with deceiving design. Because of the improvements, the price of the car was slightly increased. Besides a better engine and coil springs instead of the shitty leaf springs, costumers could now choose a premium interior and an up to 1960s standards entertainment system. For those wanting the true Criado experience, the base version only comes with a hideous looking basic interior and no entertainment. Advanced 1960s safety features are included throughout the range to make the car safer.
