automation has no inflation calcs yet if i remember correctly from the dev update they said it in, so it's all modern, so that 40K is 40K in today's money regardless what year it is in game
That's exactly it, everything is calculated to today. A luxury AM radio from the 50s would be very cheap to produce compared to a luxury infotainment system from the present, so things like that are the only reason old cars end up cheaper. Without the price adjustments with inflation, there's no way to compare to real cars or with in-game cars of later decades.

I was aiming for the luxury premium market, but the engine is a bit overpowered, though smaller than a lot of V8s of the time, so it's quite the hypercar as well...
