D00M automotive company

DAC
was founded in 1961 in germany. its first car war released in 1964. using a straight 6 engine.

all though the car was cheaper and good performing than its competition. it was poorly sold duo to the lack of advertisement.

In 1964 DAC had to pull itself out of debt. so they started to design a new car. they had one shot to do this otherwise the company would go defunct
1965 they released their car to the market

using a v8 engine. its was well performing but a big fuel waster.
this car unlike the previous one ,sold better. and saved DAC for a while

in order to make the company live long. they had to expand in all directions.

in 1969. DAC realeased its small 4 door family car ,first time using a straight 4 engine

the car sold better than the previous 2 cars together. they didn't expected such sales, the company couldn't keep up producing them, so they had to expand their factory and employ more workers.
although the car was reliable and fair priced. the main problem was the body. it was rusting fast. mainly to the high demand and poor quality steel used.

DAC. wanted to earn more money without selling alot of cars. so they though making luxury cars would do the trick
the development started in 1970. but only in 1972 they released their first luxury car.
using v8 engine for extra "schnell"
only released in two colors. other colors could be get via aftermarket companies

1973 the DAC expanded to U.S. unlike in europe, customers wated bigger and longers cars
since the material costs were lower in us than in europe. they released their first us market only car
Image
using hidden headlights and the same v8 engine from the luxury car series.
bu it was released at the wrong time. fuel crisis recently hit and that would affect the sales. because the car was no fuel efficient at all

Re: D00m automotive company

Pretty good desings, but the lights seem far too modern for vehicles designed in the '60's.

Secondly, you say "In 1964 DAC had to pull itself out of dept". I think the word your looking for is debt, as "dept" would be short for department.

It's redundant, but the rear lights are from a 90's car.
Basic square/round lights would be suitable for 60's car IMO.
