Re: Rennen Automotive

Regarding the image with the four different cars, btw... Please, for the sake of the gods of internal combustion engines: use a white outline for the letters at least, this is just.. a pain to read. Would make the whole thing so much better!

Also, curious to see the Tokyo in all of it's glory.

Regarding that, Simon, it was made in maybe 10 minutes. I can always redo it if I want to

Re: Rennen Automotive

That's nice, dear. However, if you do something do it properly or not at all. This stuff is really horrible, because the idea is good and you made it look nicely, but the unreadable font really makes it look like amateur work. Sounds harsh, I know, but such things bother me!

Well, Simon, since you mentioned it so politely...

Re: Rennen Automotive

Sorry for the extreme double post.

#RennenTokyo reveal No.1 - 2015 Rennen LaLune Concept

Luxuriously aggressive.

The Rennen LaLune concept brings back an old name from the past, taking it to a completely new direction. With an engine shared with the Staccato R, a hand-crafted interior, and, like all Rennen concepts, fully functioning, the LaLune is the one of the biggest engineering feats by Rennen.

Performance
As said from before, the engine is a smooth 4.5L V8 shared with the Staccato. This engine produces 566 HP and over 450 lb-ft. A crisp 8-speed dual-clutch sequential transmission puts power out to all 4 wheels. An all-aluminum construction lowers weight drastically to compensate for the extravagant interior. Active suspension makes tiny changes every hundredth of a second to optimize handling and ride. 0-60 MPH is dealt with in under 3.5 seconds, while top speed approaches 200 MPH. A simple traction control system; On, sport, and off; allows for the driver to truly drive the car in the best comfort available.

Features
The LaLune is the pinnacle of technology. A motion-sensing infotainment system allows the drive to make quick gestures with interrupting driving. However, this can be turned off and regular touch screen functions are available withing the settings. The interior is a mix of organic and man-made materials, mixing together to make the perfect blend of luxury and sport. Paddles shifters and bucket seats create a sporty feeling in the interior, while everything comes together to make the best interior Rennen can make. The LaLune proves that Rennen can tastefully create a car that mixes elements of athleticism and high-class into one magnificent concept car.

Given just how long it's taken me to present my take on the Kusanagi, do you need me to re-rebuild it?

Re: Rennen Automotive

Here's a revamped history, as it appears everyone is doing that now.

Rennen Automotive was founded in 1964, by John Rennen. Their first car, the Rennen Angeles, was a sleek 2-door sports coupe that appealed to many people; unfortunately, it was also limited in production as ell as quite expensive, so it was on sale for only 5 years before a major revamp, which turned it into a 2-door or 4-door saloon while staying true to the soul of the original sports car.
Some of the most difficult times for Rennen occured around the late 1970's and early to mid 80's, as the fuel crisis had hit America hard. As such, the popular Caelum resorted to a price drop, an efficient but weak 4 Cylinder, and FWD. This boosted sales enough to keep certain cars like the Kusanagi in sales, but wasn't enough to make Rennen a standout company. In 1980, Rennen was the 17th largest company in America.
The 1990's sought out a change for Rennen. After the hit of the 1980's, the 90's was a breath of fresh air. Technology seems to have skyrocketed, and more electronic driver aids meant that the Staccato and others were able to become true luxury cars. The Angeles Coupe, popular with tuners for it's ease of making power, was one of our best selling cars along with the Caelum, accumulating over 150,000 sales in the year 1993.
As of 2001, his young son, Evan Rennen, took over the company, and reinvented Rennen to an even higher quality standard. The Caelum, previously a more frugal-oriented car, was moved to a much more upscale class. Today, all of our cars keep the soul made by the "Angel". They follow the quality and sportiness that is expected of such a company.

Current lineup, as of March 2016
2016 Rennen Terra - Premium 3-Row SUV
2017 Rennen Caelum - Premium Compact
2016 Rennen Angeles - Premium Sports Sedan
2016 Rennen Tenebris - Sports Grand Touring
2016 Rennen Staccato - Premium Mid-Size Sedan
--More information to be released--

Brand Image
Please do not take the cars made before the Tenebris into account when looking at my company's image. As a growing person, my tastes change quite often, so as of now Rennen is a manufacturer of luxury cars for a cheaper price.

Re: Rennen Automotive

Speed of light.

New for 2014, the Rennen Izanagi is a fun yet inexpensive car which benefits from a lightweight aluminum body and chassis while pairing up with a high-tech engine. An "r" trim is slated for production in 2016.

Performance
The Izanagi is currently available with 1 powertrain, a 2-Liter turbocharged Inline-4 also found in the Rennen Caelum R. In the Izanagi, it produces 312 HP and 250 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an all-aluminum body and chassis, the Izanagi is able to go from 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. Thanks to its light weight, it can also produce up to 1.13 G's of force in the corners. Steering has been fine-tuned to perfection by Rennen's racing engineers, and it has been claimed to be one of the best handling cars of the 21st century.

Features
The interior of the Izanagi has as much thought as the exterior. With a standard Bowers and Wilkins audio system, Garmin 9-inch navigation system, alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, and Seibon bucket seats, the interior is just as pleasing as the exterior. Dual-zone climate control is optional as well as Sirius XM Radio, and a sporty two-tone interior is standard. To conclude the interior, it is a sporty yet elegant place to be, with ergonomics being focused on as much as aesthetics.
