Yor Publics Motor Cars

In 1907 a young man named Yor Publics had a dream, that dream was to make the cheapest car on the market, regardless of the corners that would have to be cut and the possible issues in quality. Some say Yor was a genius, many say he was just outright insane...

After forty years of persistence Yor managed to finally eek out a company, "Yor Publics Motor Cars". It is now 1950 and the first car has just been produced, the four speed Yor Public Model 1 (or YP-Model 1)

Built on a steel ladder chassis, The four door car body is made of the finest recycled steel one can find and allows for a comfortable 26 MPG. But the real luxury is the interior, you'll find absolutely no insulation and the four seats are made of the finest course burlap on wooden chair frames. To make the dash less confusing to a novice driver there are no entertainment options so you won't have to spend much time remembering what everything is and where it goes.

"But what's under the hood?" you ask, we're glad you asked! Our philosophy is to take less and make it work, so that's what we did with the engine. The YP-Model 1 engine is roughly 19 HP, weighs in at 139 lbs. and is capable of propelling the car up to the amazing speed of 62 mph, that's pretty good considering the size of the engine. All of this only costing $218 to produce the engine.

Awwwww a rubber duck! :D The idea to make everything as cheap as possible is a nice contrast. I hope for better implemenation of the images in the future and maybe detailed stats for your engines, that makes it more interesting to read. Keep em' comin'!

Haha, I never thought about it looking like a rubber duck. But thanks for the feedback, I'll try to do some things to the images for the next car when I have the time. :)

On another note, I don't get how I can make an engine that small and with only around 19 horse power yet it can pull a car that's over half a ton up to speeds of 62 mph (roughly 100 kph).

Nothing unusual about that. Cars like this weren't rare at all. You don't need 80 HP engine to get light-weight car moving.
