Re: Evgenis Automobiles

Here at Evgenis, we're a little bit worried. You see, engineering marvel Gryphon Gear recently showed off a car suitable for your average folk, and with it being such a prestigious brand, you can imagine exactly where people will be going when they think of buying their next family car. Millions of people around the world have dreamt of owning something so wonderful, and although it isn't a glorious, fire-breathing, 2000 bhp supercar that costs roughly the amount the average chap will earn in their entire life, the idea of being able to own something that says those two glorious words is enough. It may not even be that good of a car*!

So, here at Evgenis, we have decided to announce and release our hatchback fighter just a bit earlier. We need to attract buyers attention before it is simply too late. We need to get into their minds that, although GG is great, Evgenis is far better at making cars like this. Here it is, the brand-new 2015 Evgenis Pagos (yes, the Pagos used to be the name of the executive sedan, but there has been a naming switch). And boy, are we proud of it:

2015 EVGENIS PAGOS
Image

Engineering marvel? Gryphon Gear may be good at flying around a corner, but Evgenis has everything else covered. Evgenis is the engineering marvel. And for all you UK buyers, the new 1.4 SE variant of this car will set you back just £16,995, cheaper than your equivalent Golf. For some mainland European markets, such as most of Eastern Europe, Italy, Spain and Portugal a 1.2-litre engine in a more basic "S" trim is also available for 1,500 euros less than the 1.4 SE. An SE version is also available for the 1.2. This is, by far, cheaper than your equivalent Golf. So you'd imagine it to be worse? We disagree. Strongly disagree.

Design
Yes, you could say that Evgenis isn't the most adventurous when it comes to design. There is a very good reason for that though. The European market seems to like cars that look, and there is no other way of putting it, rather plain. The Golf and Focus are two incredibly popular cars, and I wouldn't call them anything other than the run-of-the-mill hatchback in design terms. Admittedly, the market is starting to take a liking to more questionable looking cars like the Nissan Juke and Citroen C4 Cactus, but for now it seems to be a world of safe designs. The Pagos has tried to keep the typical Evgenis style in order to make it appeal to those buying those Golfs and Focuses, as well as making it indistinguishably an Evgenis, yet a few more interesting features have been added, making it look more unique as well as more agressive (as this appears to be the trend with design).

Engines and Pricing
This is always an area where we try to lead. We always aim for the very best and we believe we have achieved this, especially when you consider that the 130 bhp 1.4-litre turbo engine gets you from 0 to 62 mph in 9.5 seconds and, on the combined cycle, travels 55.8 miles on a single gallon (a British one) of fuel.

In total there are three petrol engines, only two being available to most markets, a 1.2, 1.4 and 2.0, with a total of 5 power variants. Diesel engines will be announced at a later date**. Here are some techincal specifications for each engine, as well as pricing:

The car will also be launched in North America, Australia, New Zealand and select Asian markets at a later date with modified versions of the three most powerful engines. Technical data and pricing for the cars sold in these areas will be announced at a later date.

Driving
Evgenis always concentrates mainly on one thing when it comes to tuning the suspension on their cars: comfort. We know it sounds great that can throw a car around a corner at ridiculous speeds, but that is what a sports car is for. When it comes to creating a family hatchback, the comfort of the passengers inside is key. We worked many hours on making sure that your drive was as smooth and quiet as possible without having to make you spend extra money on sophisticated suspension. For those who still want to have some fun in their hatchback though, the Pagos is still up to scratch. If you really throw it into a corner, you could reach 1.12G, something that sports cars can sometimes struggle to reach. If you buy the GT version, the focus is shifted towards the handling of the car. With the loss of a little ride comfort, the Pagos GT, with its 200 bhp engine and sports suspension and tyres, is capable of around 1.25G in the bends without clever wings that produce downforce and reduce pedestrian safety, meaning that you could seriously scare your mum if you really want to (we do not recommend this though as she is your mum)

Equipment and Safety
Recently, maunfacturers have been adding more and more tech to their production models as standard, and Evgenis really needs to keep up. We believe that all buyers should be able to get nearly all the tech from the lowest trim level (except the S model), meaning that SE buyers get everything you expect, such as air-conditioning, radio/CD/MP3 player with smartphone link, electric windows, multi-way adjusting seat and steering wheel, but other things such as a large touch-screen system with PhoneLink (allowing you to use your phone on the move using the built-in system), cruise control and other nifty little features. Higher trim models focus on giving the owner more upmarket materials, as well as some more expensive, upgraded versions of the tech found in the base model.

Safety of occupants is a very important area to us. That is why, as standard, all models get 7 airbags, ABS, TCS, ESP and seatbelt pretensioners as standard. SE trim and onwards bring the latest safety tech you may only expect to find in luxury sedans to family hatchbacks, with crash avoidance systems, other driving assists and even more airbags. The AHS steel chassis has been proven to be very strong and not deform too much in the event of the collision, and the aluminium body panels used on this car are stronger than ever. After numerous crash tests, we have discovered that this is, by far, the safest family car we have ever built.

So there you have it, the 2015 Evgenis Pagos. Let me know what you think!

I could tell. That's why I decided to do it :P

And I'm glad you like the new Typhon. Plenty more models lined up!
