Some good models in there. Like the first one. Nice details you put on that car.

Re: Centauri Industries

I would like to announce that the doors to Centauri Industries are once more open! To celebrate, here is a soon to be cult classic, the Knight GT. sitting on a rugged and durable ladder frame chassis with a leaf spring rear axle and powered by a OHV 5.1 liter V8 with throttle body injection, this low tech but highly refined Personal Luxury Car has Lt1 Corvette performance for mustang pricing. Adjusted for inflation it's price at sale was US$29, 995 yet covered the 1/4 mile in just 14 seconds in standard trim, with over 1g of corner holding, when equipped with the optional summer performance tires (sport composite) a $500 dealer provided offer, it dips into the 13 second range And nearly 1.1g in the corners. This car is currently awaiting results from the industry standard "Cheeseman Review" .

*Edit* no longer loadable in the current build.

Re: Centauri Industries

I am rebooting my company, this will be a more focused approach to the game. Where as the last time I became very involved with lots of slightly different engines now I will focus on a more realistic scenario, sticking to cheap reliable engines, assuming I don't have instant access to tech as it comes out and that I won't have the money to upgrade as often. in addition to these changes I will be putting out cars rather regularly, like my approach to engines the cars will try and be realistic, cheap and fast to build.

The first car built is the 1945 "Centauri Super" powered by my new engine the Hermes 154, a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder, good for 75hp and 120Lb-ft This is designed to be an everyman car, cheap, with a easy to build and maintain engine and standard interior, no entertainment, and basic safety, decently reliable at a touch over 25000 miles, and rather efficient at 22mpg.

Re: Centauri Industries

Alongside the unchanged base Super in 1949 we have added to the line up the Super 8. The same shell is now powered by the new Hermes 308, essentially two 154's were combined to form this twin carb, 5 liter v8 which is good for 175hp and a healthy 270 lb-ft. Also with the new engine comes a premium interior, more sound insulation, and upgraded safety features.

Re: Centauri Industries

I am not sure about the last image compilation. The actual car consists only of pixels and can not be recognized at all. :( So hard to say what it looks like. Generally, I have noticed that you add fixtures more evenly on your cars, before they were out of proportion at times. So you got that going for you!

Yes I know, my friends computer can barely run the game. I will be posting updated pictures from my home PC tonight, feel free to download the cars though. :)

Re: Centauri Industries

Here is a return of my favorite design from the last build, the Omega. Downgraded from a mini hypercar to this thrifty hot hatch from 1992 it features a 2.1 turbo straight 6 good for 60mpg even with awd which helps it achieve a sub 8 second 0-60 and cover the quarter in the 15's. It's aluminum chassis with corrosion resistant steel panels allows for light weight and good safety, while the MacPherson strut and multi-link rear suspension retain a sport feel and help keep costs relatively low. Featuring a 2+2 interior with a high level of trim for a 90's hatch when combined with the smooth and broad torqued engine makes this a dream to either drive hard or cruse on the highway.

Re: Centauri Industries

While not a car class Centauri is well known for, our marketing people have told us that we are missing out on the luxury market and are demanding we enter a full sized sedan in against the european giants BMW, Audi and M-B. The Brougham is the new flagship model from Centauri motorworks, Featuring an aluminum chassis, corrosion resistant body panels, front and rear double wishbone suspension, and a class leading 28 mpg (US) combination this is the luxury car that will be kind to both you and your wallet. With a large and forgiving straight 6 engine that is as much at home on tight city streets as it is on the freeway. This all new motor pulls over 400 lb-ft of torque from 1700-4500, but you would never know from the sound in the cabin, as we have worked hard to fully dampen all obtrusive road, engine, and ambient sound from the interior. Despite it's large size this car responds well to driver commands, body roll is kept to manageable levels with stiff front and rear sway bars and a balanced suspension geometry. The engine is a brand new design from our boys out back in the advanced motorworks shed, a massive 5.6 liter OHV turbo straight 6 good for 400 horsepower on premium gas and is as smooth as silk when cruising down the highway. that power is sent to all 4 wheels via a 6 speed dual clutch gear box. Seating for 5 is provided with the highest attention to personal safety comfort and convenience, order yours today

Re: Centauri Industries

Theres nothing excessive and seems quite restrained (and therefore realistic) which is quite a refreshing change compared to the norm. Looks like a well balanced engine and well tuned car.

Re: Centauri Industries

I like that you designed the body with the back-seat passengers in mind. There seems to be a lot of headroom back there, which is good because in a luxury car such as this, I would imagine that would be the place to sit.

Re: Centauri Industries

One of the CPV engineers ventured outside to the showroom and beheld the simple elegance of the Brougham. She at once fell in love with it, but being a V8 lover at heart she felt that the car was missing it's true potential. Pulling out the blueprints for the prototype endurance class racing engine she and her team had build she set about converting the Fireball to a road legal luxury machine. Equipped with the CCPC (Centauri Continuous Protean Camshafts) system which allows for continually adjustable valve timing and lift this 7.2 liter DOHC V8 makes huge amounts of torque from idle all the way up to the red line while returning an excellent efficiency. attached to the same 6 speed awd system as the normal Brougham, albeit with a lower final gear that allows it to surpass 200 mph. The interior of the SS model features a 4 seat interior finished with a hand crafted elegance that takes the normal Brougham and refines it from a luxury sedan into a executive chariot. This is not a car you buy to be driven, but to be driven in.
