Highest Achieved MPG (lt/100km)

Hi everybody! I decided to see what you awesome people can do as far as MPG goes. In order to keep the whole playing field fair, please use the following platform with your engine.

The platform: http://1drv.ms/1gayAxs

The rules are simple, use the provided platform, build your own engine, and adjust all model values to meet your needs. Have fun, and good luck!

The top speed says it all. ;) Good job nevertheless!

Re: Highest Achieved MPG (lt/100km)

If it has a top speed of less than 50 mph, how can it get a value for 62-0 mph? ;) ;)
Extra car pushing from behind? Cable in the ground, powered by a pair of big block Chevy engines (Mythbusters)?

I'd have to say 730 LB is a little low... the 60's Fiat 500's weighed 1100 and had similar HP

Here is my attempt. It is not very functional, but it does the job. It could get you from South Korea to England on 18 gallons, although it would take 10.5 days of non-stop driving.

314MPG!?!!? Holy heck, I've spent the last hour and a half and I can only get 192MPG. At least I have a 0-62 time, I guess, lol.

It's purple cuz only pansies would drive such a car. ;p

WildKarrde, I believe you are supposed to use the chassis provided by the person who started the forum.

You guys did a great job!

I'd gotten up to 295 MPG or so, but I'm having a hard time getting any higher. :P

Re: Highest Achieved MPG (lt/100km)

According to the devs, the mpg calculations don't work if the top speed of the car is below 50mph, which means every car in this thread isnt really valid (the one with a big enough top speed doesnt use the same platform i believe)

Re: Highest Achieved MPG (lt/100km)

Well, technically I did use the same platform... just made the body look different, lol. Not sure if body shape is calculated into aerodynamics yet.

I didn't really read that part when I first made the car though, and not really motivated enough to do it again, lol.
