Highly reminiscient of a Monte Carlo SS (except for the whole family). On paper actually doesn't seem that lackluster! (Compared to everything else from that era).

The 80's were a bad time :-p Modern passenger sedans have more hp then what a IROC camaro had after they brought back the 5.7l and added TPI :-p

The Decimo would have competed with all of the domestic big brands, however its success would have been limited due to limited production.

Nice 80's look with the Decimo, makes me want to update an earler model of my Knight GT to the current build and see how these two would fair head to head. http://automationgame.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=3684#p34943

2016 Prato Zoope Rally Edition

For the 2016 model year PMC decided it needed to take the Zoope Rally Edition up a notch, to compete with Subaru, Mitsubishi and the doom impending Focus RS.

The exterior saw slight revision to further differentiate between the Rally Edition, the 2.0 and the city edition. Larger and wider wheels were used. A double stacked set of rally light illuminate the way for the Zoope. The suspension saw some changes, being more sports oriented, however still allowing for comfort during the daily commute.

The interior saw a modest upgrade, buyers no longer had to choose between comfort and performance. Leather race style front seats, a race style steering wheel and a leather bench provide a comfortable, yet sporty ride. Entertainment remained fairly basic for the Rally Edition, driving the car is fun enough without unnecessary distractions.

Weighting 1200kg, producing 243hp and with a 0-100km in 4.6 seconds the Zoope is a contender. Featuring a 6 speed manual transmission the car boasts a top speed of 235kmph and manages 52.5 mpg US. The time tested, tried and true aluminum silicon 2.0l EA827 DOHC I4 powered by a garret Turbo was the power plant of choice for the Zoope. The 2016 Zoope Rally Edition hopes to claim accolades on the international rally scene, much as its predecessors had.

Despite the power increase from the 2014 Zoope, the 0-100km time is slightly slower then the 2014 Rally edition, however the 2016 is 200kg heavier, better equipt more refined, better handling and has improved aerodynamics.

Re: Prato Motor Company [New 2016 Zoope 02/13/15}

2015 PMC Concept Coupe

in early 2015 PMC called out to the people for input, through internet polls and social media a car would be designed from the ground up by the people. The results from the polls were straight forward, performance with a splash of economy in mind.

A modern coupe body was decided and sculpted to life by PMC engineers. It has a definite track look, however is not so aggressive that it looks out of place on the highways and city streets. 325 rear and 255mm wide front sport compound tires keep the car gripping under the most extreme conditions. 19" rims kept the amount of sidewall down and style up. A rear track spoiler, front and rear lips paired with under body skid plates allow for moderate down force. The body lines were elegant and the styling simplistic, but exotic.

Image

For the engine a low boost twin turbo v8 was selected. A 5.3litre GMC L2Y aluminum v8 block was chosen and paired a DOHC cam system and twin turbos. Direct injection was applied to allow for great power and fuel economy. Total output was 365hp and 480f.lbs with a very smooth power band. With a red line of 7000rpm the engine was fun, but not too extreme. 12 ft.lbs of boost was generated by the turbos and the engine could run in 91 RON pump gas.

Image

The transmission was a 6 speed double clutch sequential. It allowed the car to propel from 0-100 in 4.3 seconds, have a top speed of 260kmph and still get 34 miles per gallon US fuel economy. Despite Weighting 1480kg the car could move!

Image

one of the most notable features was the rear tail lights. Featuring a tripple stacked bar light system it was very distinguishable from anything else on the road. The rear also boasted a quad exhaust incorporated with the rear lip. The track feel of the car was undeniable.

Image

The interior was standard 2015 equipment. Safety on the other hand was premium, side and front airbags coupled with collision sensors keep the driver safe and sound. 5 point optional race harnesses were also available from the factory.

Image

Large scale production of the car would be determined after track testing and furher R&D confirmed that there would be a market for the car. A name would also have to be decided.

After rigorous testing and R&D it was decided that PMC would contract Smolensk to review and rework the engine. The twin turbos were dropped and a more aggresive NA was designed. While losing its ability to run 91 RON pump gas, the car was bumped up almost 100hp! The set new engine lay out allowed for 35kg in weight savings, 0.3second quicker 0-100 times and a top speed of 270kmph!

Material and running costs were also reduced with the NA Smolensk tuned engine.

As part of the R&D the car was featured on the Pikes Peak race:

Re: Prato Motor Company [Concept Car posted 02/15/15}

I'd be keen to see some stats and prices! The front array of the new Rally Zoope looks aggressive and meaty. If it can compete on paper with the Ford, a prospective Ford buyer might look twice at the Zoope!

The concept coupe looks like a shark to me. Might also be to do with the colour :P

I like the general styling idea, but the car without a big, central grille seems so odd to me.

With my styling skills (or lack thereof), I sadly don't have a suggestion for the car :( .

Re: Prato Motor Company [Concept Car posted 02/15/15}

The car may look a bit different, but you could make a good fashion statement without a central grille, provided sufficient cooling. All you'd need really is something a bit more punchy with the vents.
