One more in before the game moves to Steam!!

The Kard 315st is a 1.5L turbocharged I4 sports car producing 200HP, and weighing only just over 1600 pounds! It is a car to revolutionize sports in 1978, with a top speed around 140 MPH, and a 0-62 time in under 7 seconds! This car costs less than $8400 to build. Not cheap, per se, but cheap when you consider the performance it offers! In 2014 dollars, this is about $32,000. The car could be sold for the equivalent of around $50,000 in 2014 dollars, and be considered a steal! This car is build with only technology available in 1978, so I'm pretty proud of what I achieved with it. On top of all that, the car gets 34 MPG!

This car was actually built in a video that I was reviewing the Steam release of the game with, but hey, it's still a good car! It's also the first car I've built with the new Steam release of the game, so adding it to the company directory. The car is powered by a 3.7L inline 6 engine producing 413 HP!

This pushes the car from 0 - 62 in a mere 6.3 seconds, with a top speed of 165 MPH! It gets around the Top G... Airfield Test Track in only 1:29.77!

This car is a follow up to my engine video where I made a 541cc micro-engine producing 256 HP. By the end of that video, I was convinced that the engine was reliable enough to actually be used in a car, and this is the car!

It took a bit of work, but I was able to tune it to get a top speed over 100MPH, and a 0-62 speed of 5.3 seconds!

Of course this car isn't practical, and far too expensive to ever be sold, but a great success as a tech demo of what KMW is capable of!

I can tell two facts :
1) The exhausts are literally bigger than the engine.
2) The car will be slooow as hell until you hit 9500 and then it'll go 180° straight into a tree.

Haha, very true. On the test track, the first 3 seconds of that 0-62 time are pretty much at the start line, then it takes off!

I already posted this build in another thread, but want to keep it archived in my own company thread as well. This car was designed in response to a thread dedicated to cars from the model year 1975, which ran on regular fuel with a catalytic converter.

Being a performance based company, KMW couldn't accept anything mediocre! This car is pushing 231 HP, with a 0-62 time of only 6.5 second, and a top speed of nearly 150 MPH! On top of that, it gets nearly 20 MPG!

This car is proof that for the right price, true sports cars could exist even in a time of high gas prices and crippling emissions regulations.

A couple days ago, I was quite surprised to find out that Ferrari had made a series of inline-4 race engines! I didn't know that Ferrari had ever made a 4 cylinder engine. This car is based on the 860 Monza, which had the biggest, baddest inline 4 ever made by Ferrari, a 3.4L engine with 280 HP! As a race engine, it's not as reliable as it should be for daily use, but it's not terribly bad either, should last a couple races anyway! The body looks nothing like the original car, but I think I did a decent job of making it look '50s Ferrari-ish.

For this video I wanted to check out the new body style made available to us in the 150322 build of the game. I wasn't in the mood to build a new engine for it, so I used the 0.6L twin trubo V8 that I had made earlier, and wow! This little car is a beast!

The engine produces 280 HP max, and takes a while to build there, but with such a light car, the performance is still phenomenal! It took very little tuning to get the car from 0-62MPH in only 4.4 seconds, with a top speed of 148 MPH! This car also completely destroys the original purpose of Kei cars ( to be economical) with a fuel consumption of only 15.1 MPG.

This is the first car I built from the newest body styles available in the Steam content update. I wanted to stuff as much HP as possible into it, so I used a twin turbo V8 producing over 2100 HP!

I had a bit of trouble with the engine, making it fit, and re-tuning it after resizing. In the end it worked out pretty well! I think I'll be making another engine for this car to try to increase performance on the Airfield Test Track, but on a track like Le Mans, this thing would scream!

For this build, I wanted to attempt a different kind of performance, ultimate fuel mileage! My goal was 100 MPG, but that was actually rather quickly achieved, so I decided to go for 120 MPG, and was able to hit it!

This is a very light car. I used the same chassis I built for the Kard 106st to save some build time. It has far more cooling and downforce than this new car needed, but I just tuned that out as much as possible while working on the trim of the car.

The engine is a 1.6L naturally aspirated inline-4 engine producing 99.2 HP, with a top speed of 112.9 MPH and a 0-62 time of 8.5 seconds. It gets around the Airfield Test Track in 1:35.61, and has a reliability rating of 90!

That means that not only does this car get that amazing fuel mileage, but it is completely useable on public roads as well!

You mean this car? The spirit of those old hot hatches is what inspired me to make this, but the design was mostly uninspired by anything in particular, lol.

I rather like KMW, as they deliver what are most likely the best value-for-money vehicles money can buy.

Edit: Speaking of value for money, ever thought of making a budget sports car? It doesn't have to be anything too radical. (Think of run-of-the mill Audis and such.)
