Not only must this car be able to carry up to four of your closest family members, and luggage of three in the trunk, it must also be able to win in a chase while playing cops and robbers with your kids. Thus the 6.3L flatplane V8 stuffed under the hood.

This engine is capable of producing 461 HP while using the lowest quality gas available. So if you get lost in a po-dunk town playing hide and seek with Mr. Po, you don't need to worry about finding high octane fuel to keep your wheels rolling. Which is good, because not only this this one of the most powerful cars of the 60's, it's also one of the most thirsty.

The 5-speed manual transmission delivers this HP to the rear wheels to produce a 0-62 MPH time of 6.18 seconds, a top speed of 156.1 MPH and run a quarter mile in 14.58 seconds. This car ran the Airfield Test Track in a mere 1:33.31. Not bad for a nearly 4000ib car loaded down with the cutting edge in luxury and safety equipment!

Extra credit if you can identify which European car this draws inspiration from. The hint is in the displacement. ;)

Well... technically it was based on both cars, but that's just a technicality. Mine has a 6.3L engine, the Red Pig had a 6.8L engine, but my HP is closer to the Red Pigs HP. Good job though, I would have accepted either answer. Here's your prize! :D

My company draws strong inspiration from the BMW brand up through the '90s and some early 2000 models. And I haven't decided on my own signature grill design yet, I kind of like the kidney beans.

Automation Game Build 1362 - Designing a Car on the Surface

I have finally made a return to Automation! I'm kind of looking forward to the next update before investing another large chunk of time in the game, but wanted to make this video to demonstrate how well the game runs on the Surface Pro 2. The car designed here isn't the best I've ever made, or the most original, but I didn't spend a ton of time on it as this is really more a demonstration of the game working with the Surface stylus than anything.

The video is out of focus for about the first minute and a half, I apologize for that, but nothing important is missed in this part of the video. Once the game gets started up the focus corrects itself.

Re: Kard Motor Works - YouTube Video for Each Car!

Wow, that runs so much better than it does on my laptop which I've only had for 6 months. And I play on a lower resolution!
It's good to see how usable the game is with a stylus, it seems like the design aspect of the game would be better with a stylus, or at least, would make it seem more precise.

Wow, that looks good! I want to get a surface pro 2 myself, and this makes it a step closer!
With a bit of tweaking, it could be easily optimalized for touchdevices!

The mouse is actually more precise with the way the game is set up right now, because when you lift up the stylus it's possible to move the part, and it's hard to lift your stylus up perfectly straight.

I bet this game could work with a stylus really really well with a little work from the development team... but considering the game was not designed for touch screen at all, it's pretty good.

Glad you like it. I have 7 other gameplay video's from the Surface Pro 2 on my Youtube channel, and more coming in the future. The tablet is amazingly powerful. I didn't buy it for gaming, but couldn't help trying it out after I got it, and it's truly shocked me. I really could use this as my only computer... though I still prefer having a high powered desktop for serious gaming.

KWM M1

Not only is it my first mid-engined supercar, it's also my first hovercraft! Apparently there is some kind of bug that doesn't allow the wheels to show.

The cars turbocharged, 400HP engine thrusts the car from 0-62 in only 4.4 seconds, and onwards to a top speed of 180 MPH! It laps the Airfield Track in a scant 88.8 seconds. This is a car for someone of exquisite taste and deep pockets.

2014 Kard 728 MTS Supercar

In this video I design a mid-engined turbocharged flatplane V8 supercar with 627 HP and a redline of 7500 RPM. The car weighs a scant 2655ib, for a remarkable power to weight ratio! Fuel economy is only 15.2 MPG though, and it comes in at a total cost of $181,135!

The car is limited to 200 MPH through the gearing, and does 0-62 in under 3 seconds! It gets around the Airfield Test Track in ony 1:19.5. There's a lot that could be improved on in this car, but it's a great start. :)

2014 Kard 790s SuperTouring

This is the fastest, most powerful, most expensive production car KMW has ever built!

The 9.0L naturally aspirated flatplane V8 produces 1318 HP at 8000 RPPM, and propels this car from 0-62 MPH in only 3.4 seconds, and upwards to a top speed of 240 MPH! It will do a quarter mile in just a tad over 10 seconds with a speed of 165 mph, and a standing KM in 17.1 seconds, at a speed of 213 MPH! All while still being able to achieve a remarkable 20.6 MPG, and having a reliability of 83.7!

But all this comes at a significant price. The total cost of this car is $230,000, and only 100 will be made for worldwide distribution.

I actually run the airfield track at the end of the video, it did it in 1:16:51.

1969 Kard 799s SuperAmerica - 814HP!

I was watching some of the new videos on the Automation publisher's YouTube channel, and was inspired to make something new. I present to you, the KMW SuperAmerica!

This car is the embodiment of American ideal's with a 10L V8 producing over 800HP, while still wielding European finesse with double wishbone suspension and lithe physique.

With a top speed of 207 MPH, this car cruises around the Airfield track in a slight 1:26:24. It reaches 62 from stop in only 5.3 seconds, and runs the quarter mile in only 13.02 seconds. Not bad for a car with '60s technology!

Re: Kard Motor Works - YouTube Video for Each Car!

I haven't built any new cars in a while, but I got around to making a playlist of all my Automation creations! Just wanted to update this thread with the link, I've also edited the first post to include it as well:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkhsvWpzhFI&list=PLOvd8LXtXHilyTTGHBNao7c9_Ku4vRMEa

I also hadn't realized so many of the links in my previous posts were broken, so I fixed them as well.
