I suppose that the only competitors would be large AMG Mercs. Great design!

Thanks! But is there a V-class AMG? I don't think so... and the ML is in a different category

This is essentially a luxury family van with big V8s in it. So it's perfect for mummy and daddy. It'll make the children happy, too, with the nice V8 growl .

There's a 5.0 and a 6.0 V8, the 6.0 makes 460hp and lets you go from 0-60 in just 4 seconds despite the car's 1600kg weight and the 5 speed manual gearbox. Obviously, this isn't the most economical car in the world, but it uses less fuel than most cars with similar power output (like a BMW M3 E92 or a Ferrari California).

I can't really think of a competitor for this car because Ford Galaxy/Renault Modus/Opel Zafira, etc. they aren't nearly as luxurious or as powerful as this will be. And there will be an XX version, too.

Greets,
Tom

But the modus isn't in the same class as the zafira and the galaxy now is it? Because i don't think a small 5 seat hatchback is in the same class with two big 7 seat mpvs

Update: I decided to give the AdVance a little facelift (only at the front because i was very unsatisfied with it)

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

Well, i've been inactive for a while. Sort of inactive. I couldn't think of another class for which i didn't have a car already, so i decided i might try and rework some of my existing models. But it was hard to choose which one to revise because i liked most of them the way they were. Still, i'm back with two new designs.

First, the revised Grizzly:

Of course, the Grizzly XL has changed too:

I still love the Grizzly XL. I'd definitely buy/build one if i had the money to do so. I mean, who else has an 8.5L twin-turbocharged V8 in their luxury saloon car? Even though it's RWD only and weighs 1700kg, it can keep up with most of today's sports cars. It'll do 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds and it's limited to 200mph (for now, maybe i'll delimit it so it would hit 215 or so).

And then, i wanted to ask you guys something. Do you think the Mantis needs a new design as well? That's an important question because the Mantis is probably the model which i'm going to sell most copies of. And if you think it needs a new design, i'll make one.

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

Hey guys, i've finally managed to redesign a car with a very satisfying result for me! It's the Sparrow. All it's got in common with the old Sparrow is the name and the colour.

I decided to try something new with the headlights. Depending on the feedback i get for them, i may or may not use these as standard headlights for future designs.
As before, the Sparrow is a small sports coupe similar to a Toyota GT-86.

I hope you like it :)

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

The new Grizzly looks incredible! Those headlights are amazing. You should use variations of those on your new models. The Sparrows headlights aren't bad, they just look a little too 'squinty' to me. Honestly, in my opinion, I think you should figure out a way to make the Grizzly's lights work on the Sparrow, as well as your future designs for that matter. They are unique and they certainly look good.

There it is. But i'm not really convinced of that look, i prefer the other headlights but maybe that's just me.

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

There is a new Dragonfly. I went through all my designs and thought this needed a rework. So here it is:

The HP and SR versions will be posted in the Speed Academy thread.
The standard Dragonfly comes with a reasonable 2.0 I4T with 250hp and you can have RWD or AWD.

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

Here comes another rework. Ages ago, i posted the Royal. I've almost forgotten it even existed but i found it and i reworked it!

As before, this is an upperclass saloon and you can have a 5.0 or a 6.0L V8 for it, NA or turbocharged. And it's not in the same class as the Grizzly because its rivals aren't Bentleys but Mercedes S-class and BMW 7series.

thanks Razyx!
I've been thinking about reworking the Mantis for weeks. Trying to make it look aggressive and elegant at the same time, and being better at this than with the last design was actually hard for me. But i think this is a worthy replacement!

Re: DQE - Design, Quality, Emotion

Welcome a new member of the DQE family, the Puma! This is what the BMW 3series once was, a realtively light and very dynamic RWD saloon. The difference between this and the Eagle saloon is that this is smaller, lighter, sportier and more specific because there are only 2 engine options for the normal Puma and only 1 for the HP. But it's still everyday usable thanks to soft suspension and good fuel economy.

the first engine is a 200hp 2.5L I4T. Beefy, torquey, and very economical:

Image

and if this isn't enough for you, there's a 350hp 3.0L I6T:

I'll post the HP version in the Speed Academy thread!

Tom
