Rennen Automotive - Historic Model Collection

Since I do not want to add older cars to a thread dedicated to our new products, I have made this thread to demonstrate select classic and modern vehicles created by those at Rennen. Stay tuned for more.

The evolution of ---Kusanagi---
Image
The Kusanagi KR610 was released in 1968. With a 2.5 Liter V6 producing 168 HP, the Kusanagi was one of the fastest budget supercars that goes from 0-60 in 7 seconds. In 1973, the oil crisis hit, and the KR615 was released. With a revamped engine based on the same basic design, the new Kusanagi has more HP and achieved 18 MPG, as well as styling differences.

In 1982, a new version arose, KR630, now packing a 3.0L V6 with 200 HP, which allowed the new Kusanagi to go from 0-60 in 6.1 seconds. 4 wheel vented brakes and ground-breaking technology still wasn't enough to propel sales, and the Kusanagi was discontinued in 1988.

As of 1995, another version came codenamed KR640. With a twin-turbocharged 3.2L V6 and AWD, the KR640 blasts past 60 MPH in 3.8 seconds. 386 HP helps this happen. Air suspension and bodywork composed of carbon-fiber add to the great technology that pioneered a new age of sports cars for Rennen. In 2001, production halted yet again, and development of the current Kusanagi, KR660, began for 10 whole years.
