Muncie Motors Corporation

Founded in 2014 amidst the rubble of the once-great manufacturing city of Muncie, IN in the same, now-abandoned factory where the famed Muncie Manual transmission was once produced, MMC sets out to produce relatively low-cost, reliable cars with a Hoosier flair.

Re: Muncie Motors Corporation

Good job with the car! The specs seem to be very good indeed. The price for the car however seems very off. You will be losing money big time selling a car at that price that only few will buy.

Re: Muncie Motors Corporation

Is there a formula someplace on here to figure out what tooling costs might be? TBH not sure how to calculate that, although it will help that that engine is used in a few other cars I haven't put up here yet.

The MMC Animus

It's tame, cheap, relatively efficient, and reliable. And cheap (yes, we said it twice). The Animus Hatchback. Weighing in at less than 2100 pounds and featuring the 1.7L MMC Econoclast engine, this car fits the budget of pretty much anyone buying a new car at only $12,995. Coming soon to a high school parking lot near you. ImageImage
Also available with an optimized, high output and high efficiency version of the 1.7, dubbed the Milemaker. With 135 HP and 54 MPGs, it's sure to put a smile on anyone's checkbook. The Animus ES starts at just $16,295, and is available with a premium interior and automatic transmission for $20,595.

Re: Muncie Motors Corporation

Being located in one of the poorest cities in the American rust belt, building a reliable family car at a reasonable price has always been a priority of ours, and we named ours the Alpha, because we feel it's the beginning of a new era. An era in which you don't need to spend $40000 on a hybrid compact to get 50+ MPG. An era in which you can get to work all week on just a few gallons of gas. An era in which you can show your children this great nation--without taking out a second mortgage. Featuring our renowned "milemaker" 1.7, this is a car that never quits its job. Even when you do.

Also available with a luxury interior and advanced safety features for $28,495, or as a more basic model with our Econoclast 1.7 for only $14,995.
