I dont see how platium is even possable without some type of turbo witchcraft. It would not give me a score with a turbo engine because the carbs could not handle the psi.
Seems turbos add to much weight, and this scenario was put in before turbos.

OP didn't state it in this post, but it seems they are wanting to see Platinum on the Full Pull scenario. Alas, I only have Silver myself, or I would share.

Even with turbo witchcraft I couldn't even manage gold. But, apparently, quad DCOE's will hold 24.8 psi of boost without 'sploding... they just won't be very happy about it.

I had the same problem. I could not get a score with a turbo setup at all, even though it said I met all of the requirements? I only managed 1566 with a 6.1L NA. I also attempted it with mechanical injection, but service costs really got high (still not above $4k!).

Ah, I just figured out your mutual problem and it has nothing to do with turbos. Once you've passed with some score or other you'll only see an updated score if your revised engine scores higher than your old one. So the problem was just that your turbo engines were worse than your NA engines.

If it was worse, it would still post a line of text with the score, in which it did not.

The latest patch may have fucked up the scenario balance here - not even turbo magic may do it! ;( Just a guess though... the best person to ask probably is Martin! :D

That's the best I could do with the current build, so I guess something indeed has fucked up the balance:

The engine still needs an MTBF >0 to pass the scenario.

^This.
Even with the turbo setup, I had all green, and my MTBF was over 15k.

From looking at Der Bayer's gold rated engine it looks like, even though weight is 50% of the score, the way to a higher score is to build as big an engine as possible and go for max power.

Yes, and in order to get more capacity you have to go for lighter parts (SOHC, air-air intercooler and single exhaust only).
