Something a bit different

With everyone posting high power engines I decided to try the other end of the spectrum... A no holds barred high efficiency engine.

Introducing a 320hp 451ftlb 5.5L 4cyl turbo charged beast that also boasts a 48.6% efficiency rating.

Now I just have to find a body big enough to fit it into.

You do have quite an enviable torque plateau :)

Yep, was thinking of putting it into a truck or SUV and advertising it as getting 30+mpg while towing your boat to the lake.

Total vehicle cost approx. $100,000

I hope this doesn't come off as rude, but that engine will not see 30 mpg while towing a boat. Most trucks today won't hit 30 mpg alone, excluding the Ram EcoDiesel (a 3.0L V6). Depending on boat size, you might see double digit fuel economy going uphill, and on flat roads you may even get 18 mpg.

No not rude, pretty accurate to be honest.

According to this calculator it should be looking at close to 19mpg while towing at 75mph.
