Second Range 2L Turbo upto 445HP

Here is range of 2L turbo engines from 203 - 444HP they all have the same bore and stroke with an exact capicity of 1988cc, i tried to make them relativlely effienct, and cheap to make and run. Although the service cost are quite high and the MTBF is a little lower than i would like it to be. None of them have catalyic converters and no exhuast baffle's these would be optional extra's :D The race engines are very expensive to maintain, the first engine runs on 95premium and the rest run on 100Ultimate.
Feel free to leave engines in compition with these and also please give tips and feedback :)

The Second 'Sport Model' 220hp/161.8kW

Re: Second Range 2L Turbo upto 445HP

I am liking the HP of these engines! although if built for 2013 release I do not see these engines passing the tough emission limits of today. especially if released in Europe (really only place they can due to the high gas RON)

Improvements from first range:
1) Like the fact these are DOHC, definitly getting a lot better Power out of it
2) Emissions are now under 1000 which is good
3) Like to see turbos because those are sweet.

Improvements I could see on these engines:
1) even Lower emissions. You have not put on any catalyst converters which you definitely should have and you will have amazing low emissions!
2) you need to have some kind of muffler on as these engines are very loud, which will make the cars either A) not pass noise standards or B) people wont want to drive a car that is so loud they cant hear themselves think
3) better economy, The first couple engines are good and these numbers are what I was getting when I first started. a good economy engine (the new ford eco-boost ones) are around 27% economy. so anything around 25% is a good economic engine. Now I know these were probably not suppose to be economical but small, powerhouse engines but I would like to see better econ numbers myself if I were buying a car with these engines (maybe I would do a in-line 6 engine?)

Keep working and fiddling with these engines and I think you will have a good set of engines ready to go when the full game is released! It is all about practice and messing around with things in this game. do a tick by tick setting to see if you can improve parts of your engine and save them as revisions. the more you do this the better you will get at making engines! you are doing better then I was when I started! good luck!

Re: Second Range 2L Turbo upto 445HP

You really should be aiming for lower emissions. If these are theoretical production model engines for production model cars they would require a catalytic converter to be legal in the united states, so it doesn't really make much sense to make anything without one. The high flow cat doesn't hurt your horsepower, and doesn't really cost that much more than the standard 3 way cat.
