my multi-purpose engine

I made a multi purpose engine. it has decent power, reliable, light, efficient, cheap to make.

any ideas to improve the above attributes?

P.S: the how much power I can possibly get out of it has been answered already, 480 HP and 504 ft/lbs (check 2.2 Boom boost thread.)

2.2 L EFI, Twin Cam VVT+L, Turbo, 280 HP and 260 ft/lbs; 20 % fuel efficiency, 70K+ MTBF.

Re: my multi-purpose engine

Nice engine! I quite like it actually... it'll be great for a little sports car and a hot hatch due to its weight and power. But the economy is too low for the average saloon or hatchback and if I was to improve something, I would reduce some of the parts quality, because the man-hours is getting a little high ;)

Re: my multi-purpose engine

thanks!! :mrgreen:

@09webbad what kind of fuel economy should I aim for? I want to make this engine for most of my cars (for campaign mode, gotta prepare!)

@Juno8 Thank you very much!

Re: my multi-purpose engine

Sorry for the late post but I recon something around 25%... VVL and low friction cast pistons will help lift that figure figure nicely :)
