Hey guys, i wanted to share this engine with you because i just can't believe that a 10.9L Biturbo with over 2k Nm of torque will last longer than all my previous engines o.O

of course that has its price but really, who cares? ^^

the thing is this was just some random stuff i tried out and i expected this engine to blow up after like 15000km but now it lasts almost 94000km i really can't explain why lol

Well 10.9L and 1153.9kw = 105kW per Litre, which isn't really super high for a turbo engine, so the engine isn't being overly stressed. For comparison, the latest Nissan GTR puts out 106kW per Litre, and I would expect that engine to last for more than 100,000kms before failing (on average).

Plus the fact that it takes 2340 man hours and $9712.79 to make. If we pluck a number (say a conservative $100 per hour labor rate for a specialist), then the engine would cost almost $250k to make! I would hope that it lasts a long time for that much money!

105kW/Litre is not extremely high but that's only because i'm not an expert with turbos and i'm sure you can get the numbers higher. But the fact that a normal 2.0 I4 which i built for everyday usage will only last around 75000km, it's supposed to be reliable and it isn't stressed at all, and this 10.9 Biturbo on the other hand lasts almost 20000km longer, that really surprised me.
