I have a Ford DFV that runs up to 11,500rpm best engine to use is the V8 Flatplane

Yup, 12,000 is possible with a short stroke.

i was trying a v8 bore (4.7")/short stroke (~3.6")

That is the Bore and Stroke of a Ford DFV
Bore: 85.674 mm
Stroke: 64.8 mm
The Ford DFV I have runs a
Bore: 85.7 mm
Stroke: 64.8 mm
and that gets a good 12,000rpm if I let it rev up that high but I dont I rev limit it to 11,500rpm
