Oh, yes, I was definitely hoping for a thread like this. I've been messin' with Turbo V8's all day.
Revision 2 of my best engine (The Sunshaker) was a V8 Crossplane producing 3497.3hp and 2590 ft-lb. I saw more potential in the Flatplane, though, so I stopped development on that before I got my numbers perfect.
My best effort so far is my 4th attempt, which hits 3553.4 and 2627.1 horses and torque, respectively. Major props to James for getting to 3640hp: haven't looked at his setup yet, but I'm going to blindly guess that his turbo's set up differently than mine. Both these engines have about ~2000k MBTF. Postings below.
