Re: Maximum power (3200hp+)

Your only @3639hp.
Think you took "Torque Wall" to serious..

I´ve done engiens with 3700+ torque aswell, but they still dont go past 3640hp without MTBF says 0.
Thats why we (i) call it "Torque Wall", when its more "Horsepower wall", "Quality Wall" whatever.

Feel free to respond with your thoughts about it.

Read the entire thread, or atleast page5 (JamesMillers post)
And you should get a better idé about the problem that we are having.

Re: Maximum power (3200hp+)

Yes I see now, it very much seems like a hp limit on the bottom end parts that we have available. I think all we can really do now is try to get more torque with 3640 hp. Has anyone been higher than I have?

I have had torque just slightly higher. I do believe that the 3640 HP is the highest possible from what I can tell. I will post higher tq and hp numbers if I can remember how I got to obtain them.

Please note the miles on my mtbf :)

Here is my 3640 hp and 3790nm torque setup. The highest I have been able to obtain thus far is 3830nm tq with 3630hp. I will get higher though! lol.
Please note my 6.2 miles on this engine! LMAO. Has mufflers, cats, and 6 inch exhaust.

Re: Maximum power (3200hp+)

I believe higher power will be possible when car designer comes out. The Horsepower limit is related to cooling capabilities. Now, without known vent area, it always gets 0 km of mtbf above 332,256 hp/liter due to engine melting. But, if you design something that should be called one big vent, then the cooling capabilites should be better and the power limit would be higher. Of course, areodynamics would suffer, and body you'd need to fit that engine would need to be pretty big, but we've got POWER! Of course that also means the current top-power motors could fail instantly in unsufficiently cooled car. I wonder what would be the limit for the engine that can be actually put in a hatchback.

Anyone got more than 2700hp/2500Nm on a crossplane?
