Re: Streetable 1000 Horsepower

No problem, here's my 8.0TT stuffed into a hatchback. Of course it won't cool worth a damn, or have traction, or handle....but it fits. Doesn't work with AWD, though.

That torque curve is extremely good! Six litres of pure awesomeness right there, and with the right transmission, you might even see double-digit fuel economy! ;)

Re: Streetable 1000 Horsepower

Heres my take on the Callaway Corvette Sledgehammer, I had to make it 1992 rather than 88 for the mpfi but it's got 1001hp on premium pump gas

And it fit in a car, and is actually cooled! 11.8 1/4 miles @ 146mph

My streetable 1K hp engine.
A bit lazy till 3000 rpm but the fun is always in the mid->high zone :)

My take on a streetable 1k HP engine.

And it also fits inside a car.

Re: Streetable 1000 Horsepower

I thought I'd throw in a N/A submission.... This is "The Donk" 10 litres of pure grunt. It is very big and also very heavy but slotted in at the head of a Limousine this brute gives no thought to physics with a mighty 850nm of torque off idle. Thrown in are pretty damn good MTBF all round costs and good economy you could have this bad boy powering your daily or probably a truck if you wanted it.

Re: Streetable 1000 Horsepower

These are all quite nice, though I've been able to get 800+ horsepower from a 2.5 - 3.0 liter engine(Awful power curve though) So you guys can obviously get more than this. ;)

Some say turbo lag only exists so N/A drivers think they stand a chance :p

And the true mtbf(there is a glitch in the engine designer where engines that have over 100 horsepower per liter get a MTBF penalty even if they're perfectly fine, and thus, the engine designer MTBF is broken on turbo engines)

Wow, such boost pressure. Much RPM. So Turbo.

Re: Streetable 1000 Horsepower

Cnspots1 im not sure how your turbo set up is but if you have the A/r to 1.4 and adjust the rear housing according you should be able to pull a flatter torque curve after hitting boost.

You should name it "Anticipation" as you would have to prepare yourself for the incoming wiplash when it hits boost.
