Re: Information for New Wave of Beta Testers

Well, in the last patch all scenarios were doable, and some way too easy. One patch before that you were (in one scenario) supposed to build a cheap engine with a material cost of less than 95$... too bad the fuel system only (a crappy single barrel carby) already cost like 70$. xD

So I meant "the bad version" of impossible hehe.

Re: Information for New Wave of Beta Testers

ahhh... heheh

well actually, you probably want some of the "first" few scenarios to be reasonably easy, then ramp up harder and harder, until the last one is nearly impossible (in a good (ie designed) way) :P

Re: Information for New Wave of Beta Testers

yes, this is exactly what we aim for...

- Five easy tutorials which focus on separate aspects of building an engine, where achieving the highest rank still is somewhat difficult
- Nine full scenarios, easy to tough, where passing still is rather easy for the most part, but getting the higher ranks is everything but.

The Military APU scenario took me 30 tries to even pass for the first time xD that may be a bit excessive...

Re: Information for New Wave of Beta Testers

I dont think so... You have to have one challenge that is actually a real challenge!

Noooo.... no release and I need to sleep! Probably a good thing in that case! ;)

Re: Information for New Wave of Beta Testers

I'm a bit nervous too, maybe it's only 'cause I've chosen a bad day to give up smoking...

"The new plan is as follows: Today's patch will still be tested by the core testers only, and
so it will the next few ones until probably this weekend. This will allow for a more polished
test version."

Reading at this I think it will be about a week.

I SUPPOSE it'll be a week, maybe it's only two days... :)

Re: Information for New Wave of Beta Testers

It might be a week for some of you, I want to split the new testers into two groups of 11 people. The fist group I don't see getting in later than this weekend really, with the new version out to be tested today. Also, Zeussy has Thursday through Monday off to work more than full time on Automation, so shit will get done quickly :)

Re: Information for New Wave of Beta Testers

I am guessing we will be notified if we are wave one or two later today?
