As requested in the Intro thread, here is some pictures of my Vauxhall Vectra track day/fun car from the beginning to how it sits now.

As I bought it for a total of £100

After the respray

Then after it had passed the MOT we set about stripping out the interior

We then set about spending money (my least favorite bit  )

We ran it like this for a while before taking it off the road for some more major work.

Roll cage finished off and 4 point harness's fitted

So far it looks like the plans for the engine may change to fitting a C20LET turbo engine which should give us around 200hp with potential for 300hp+ which in a car which doesnt weigh much should be fairly rapid. Hopefully 4 pot brakes should be up front with some bigger disc's and more weight loss which is becoming more difficult to find dead weight.

And just because I can heres a picture of my everyday car

Looking nice, just give us a minute and we will try and make the pictures display properly!

Vectra is coming along nicely, and the daily looks sexy!

very nice steve.

This post also made me go and fix the dodgy image issues :)

What made you choose a Vectra for a track car?

Cheers guys. Well it was after my mk2 escort track day project was sold, I needed (read wanted) another project and seeing as I had already bought this Vectra as a runabout for work it seemed a good idea. Main point being I didnt really want to strip out the Astra as it only had 6000 miles on it

Shame you got rid of the escort - THIS is what you need to do with one of those :D - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5lgp-Vj ... re=related

Agreed, that thing of his has a rather trick gearbox aswell. Looks to have both paddle shift and sequential stick.
