My 1987 BMW 325e

Finally, a reliable car!! It's been about 3 years since I've had a car that I wasn't worried about breaking on me, and it's a good feeling. I know what you're thinking... 325e? Come on, those things are dog slow. Not this one. :) It's had some mild engine work done to it, advanced timing, dimpled head, and a custom computer, so although it's no speed demon, it's not a slouch either. I'm able to hit 0-60 in roughly 7.5 seconds, give or take a few tenths. Honestly, it feels almost as fast as my slightly modified 325is did. Plus, it can get up to 40 MPG on the highway, so can't complain there. :) Anyway, on to the pictures!

Re: My 1987 BMW 325e

Also, I just got a set of Kazera KZ-M wheels to put on it. They're 15" and only weight 13.5 ib. If I'm lucky I'll have them installed tomorrow. :D

Re: My 1987 BMW 325e

As a full time student I actually like the diving board bumpers... the parking lot is crazy at my college, so I'd rather have the extra protection. I do plan on getting them mirror-polished though, and might tuck them once I get out of school. I'm building a 325i Convertible that will probably be getting a bumper treatment.

Re: My 1987 BMW 325e

it's not really ugly with those. it's just... more american...

anyways it looks great. here in europe it's really hard to find one that looks ok or doesn't have lots of mechanical issues.

Re: My 1987 BMW 325e

I love Euro chrome bumpers... you could make a killing getting them off of junkers there and shipping them here. E30's are getting hard to find here as well, but there is a strong cult following that has given up on trying to find them in good shape and have taken to restoring them.

Re: My 1987 BMW 325e

I built an M20B25 for a process speech in college. Didn't have time to get the torque right, but everything else was correct. Here's the Prezi for it:

Glad you like it. :) It's been a great car so far. Never been a huge fan of the eta engine but I think this one is a keeper. I had the opportunity to drive an E28 M5 for about a week and a half. That was an awesome experience.

Hehe, I was kinda going for something like that. Should have seen some of the shots of my iX though, that was roughing it, lol.
