My Flexifuel Focus

This is my 2012 Ford Focus 1.6 Flexifuel. I'm fueling it every week with bioethanol.

My drive to work every day is a total of 90 km. The cruise control is in active duty.

While we wait for winter and snow in a couple of months, I think I'll get back to playing Automation. :)

26 to 28 mpg (8,4 to 9 liters per 100 km) and this is with the bioethanol stuff.

Not sure if actually a spam or just normal people trying to think what's inside spammer's head.

I'm sorry, what seems like spam here? I myself tell about my car in a section called "My Ride" in a section called "Off Topic".

Re: My Flexifuel Focus

Don't be offended. It's just the post you posted to alton. And his post too. Coincidentally, there are spambots operating in similar style - You know, responding to the topics with generic "Nice post", "Thanks for sharing information", without any indication of having read the thread. You didn't actually spam, it seems. It's just the style we noticed and pointed out :). Don't be worried.

Re: My Flexifuel Focus

Thanks for the clarification, I was worried for a while. Yeah, alton's post was weird but I didn't realize it could be spam. I just thought it was somehow rude to me and decided to respond with a witty way by copying him...

I honestly thought I was considered to be "a spammer" for all of my mentions considering bioethanol (and the link in my signature). :D I'm just a science teacher and a car enthusiast who happens to be very interested in alternative fuels...

By the way, as we speak of alternative fuels, I believe that algae biogasoline fuel deserves more attention.

Yes, that seems interesting (having browsed the Wikipedia article). I'm still quite impressed by the way they make bioethanol in this country from collected household food waste.

I really do hope ethanol fuels or other burning liquids made by one way or another are the future so we can have our beloved four-stroke engines...

Edit: Actually, today I read an article on a magazine and it turns out that it's mostly collected waste bread from stores our refuel is made of.

Re: My Flexifuel Focus

I apologize, I was talking about alton.

Alternative fuel is good, Sadly because my car is an old model it only runs on E10. But well ... Only 3 cars sold here that runs on E85 are Mitsubushi Lancer, Lolvo S80 .... and ......... a Bentley Contineintal. I don't like the Lancer enough to buy it and Lolvo is too expensive.

Re: My Flexifuel Focus

Yeah, in Finland the options were some models from Dacia (not really an option), Ford, Renault (nor is this), Volvo, Volkswagen and Audi. Ford and its Focus was the only one in a reasonable price bracket. I wouldn't mind owning an Audi A4 2.0 TFSI Flex fuel quattro some day though..

You'll have to buy the Bentley then.
