AutomationHub Medals poll

Im posting this here to not flood the General Chat, but we want to actively ask the community to think with us on some matters, because this website will be for you.

So here is what we are thinking about. We will put in an Awards & Achievements thing for your company. Lets say a bronze medal for uploading 5 engines, a silver for 20 and a gold for 50.
Now is the question, would you want to show ALL your medals, even if you have a higher ranked medal? Example: I upload my 20th engine, and my bronze AND my silver will show.
The other option: I upload my 20th engine, and my bronze medal gets replaced by the silver, thus not showing the bronze anymore.

Next to that, we are going to show darkened medals, to show you what kind you can achieve. When you then hover over, it will tell you the Requirements to get that medal. These are the medals the player hasnt achieved yet

So you want to show off all your medals, or only the best one? Please fill in the poll!

Re: AutomationHub Medals poll

If you were to implement the darkened medals, everyone's page would display all medals, but the non-achieved ones would be darkened?

Re: AutomationHub Medals poll

To be honest, it would probably be better to only display the unlocked medals. However, on your own page, you should be able to see what medals you have not yet gotten.

Re: AutomationHub Medals poll

I think it would be a good idea for users to choose what medals they display, and maybe have a limit on how many can be displayed outside of their profile page.

Re: AutomationHub Medals poll

Nah, choosing what to display wont be an option. Also Jakgoe, we are talking about medals on your own carcompany profile page.

Re: AutomationHub Medals poll

What Jakgoe meant, and that I think would be a good idea, was that others would see only the medals you already have, but the owner could see what are the thresholds for the next medals

Exactly what I meant. Thank you Leonardo for saying it in a more understandable way.

Re: AutomationHub Medals poll

Elaboration on that from my point of view: Perhaps the best way to do the previous suggestions would be to have everything there from the beginning. However, instead of bronze, silver, and gold being there darkened, at the beginning you get just an empty square. Hovering over it would give you a message saying:

Current Medal: (none, bronze, silver, gold, platinum, etc.)
Achieved for: (5, 10, 20 engines etc.)
Next medal awarded at: (5, 10, 20 engines etc.

Perhaps the current medal one would be redundant, so maybe with or without that. Others, when hovering over, would just see awarded for or maybe even nothing if there is a title over the medal.

Re: AutomationHub Medals poll

Votes can be re-arranged. I marked that Option. jakgoe, that is exactly what we had in mind, but we wanted to ask the community. People see what you've got, you get to see all, even the ones you didnt get and see what requirements there are when hovering over.
