Re: Your Car Sketches

Those are some pretty nice drawings. I'm a would-be artist myself so I guess I can contribute a bit with something I've made too. me trying to draw the Lancia Beta, a first attempt being a 'fail' while the second is a success.

I have a DeviantARt but not sure if it would be okay to bring it up here, in the meantime, enjoy.

Well, I've gotten that way with practicing when I can, which at times has been far from easy. I'd ramble more but...maybe some other time...more so if I ever get to that GTP/Group C prototype chassis.

If anyone's curious...here is my DeviantARt page

Re: Your Car Sketches

Nice topic. At the moment I don't draw/sketch much, but when I attended secondary school my notebooks had more sketches and drawings in them than any real school work. Apart from that I made sketches on normal A4 papers. I just looked back at some of my drawings and took a picture of some. Many of them are from 2005/2006, I was 13/14 y.o. by then:

Image

ImageImage
Just two random hot rods I drew.

Image
One of my many "concept cars", if I remember correctly I tried to sketch a modern Countach. However I always get distracted with thoughts like "that looks way cooler" and end up with sketches that don't look like the initial idea at all.

ImageImage
Another "concept car", without wheels: As you can probably see in the other sketches, wheels are one of my weak points. Before I knew how to draw the wheels without making the whole sketch look bad I went on with other sketches.

Image
A whole different path, but it looks nice (apart from the toy car like solid unsteerable front axle)

Here are some recent (about 1 to 2 years ago) sketches:

Re: Your Car Sketches

De fairlady and the evo look amazing!

The new Countach looks more like a new Miura to me though :P

Amazing and nice drawings! Also nice improvements to be seen from when you were 13/14 and your more recent ones from just 1 to 2 years old.

A design I made a while back of a small, Solstice-sized coupe. My main inspirations were the Pontiac Solstice coupe and the RX-8.

Re: Your Car Sketches

How could I forget about this? I was looking through my computer and found this thing I drew about 2 years ago in Adobe Illustrator.
