Show your 3D artwork

Show off your 3d art and projects :D
Don't know if there are many 3d artists here but maybe we could show what we made.

These are my latest creations, mostly high poly meshsmoothed models not for ingame:

Here is a concept i tried, still not finished tho and its more something to polish my skills.

This is one of the few low poly models im busy with, a B series Honda engine. Still needs alot of work.

I gave up on this one due to lack of interest and because i'm currently bussy with a High and low poly (also for ingame) Honda Civic 1992 model

Re: Show your 3D artwork

Those are some mighty tidy meshes you have there. What do you use to model?

I have a few, though I don't do so much artwork these days

Re: Show your 3D artwork

Those are some artistic renders nortala, spiritual renders. I only make architectual and vehicle related 3d, will try making some natural 3d objects in the future.
I use 3D studio Max 2009 atm, i started with cinema 4D but later went to 3D studio max.
Here is a quick snapshot from the civic i'm currently bussy with :P .

Looking good! to be honest I think you're a lot better at modeling actual cars than I am and its something I'll need to start practicing!

Re: Show your 3D artwork

Damn Dread Darven, those are some really nice models you did there  :D

Since I plan on doing some modding when the full game is released, and I don't have any graphics skills to speak of, you're quite welcome to help with the graphics side on things ;)

Also very nice stuff Nortala :)

Re: Show your 3D artwork

i was thinking the same thing drake :P . will be more than willing to help.
@ daffy,
do you know cg-cars.com? its a great recource to polish car modelling skills, lots of tutorials and of course lots of people also modelling cars on a very very high level. the 3d artwork ive seen there is just mindblowing.
And offcourse i could also help ;) . But show us some 3d renders you made outside automation, i bet it looks good (seeing the skill you have with automation)

Re: Show your 3D artwork

I'll see what I can track down, but actually haven't got a great deal of finished stuff of decent quality, I hadn't done any 3d in a year or two when we started automation.

I do have a half finished very high poly model of the inside of cargo bay of "Serenity" from Firefly somewhere..

Half textured and poorly lit - I'll do some better renders of it sometime but this is just what I had sitting around

Edit: Oh god those panels tile horribly! :o :P

Re: Show your 3D artwork

Those panels do indeed tile badly :p , but i see alot of detail in there, very nice render.
Would try some soft shadows etc with a different lightning technique then that render would look even better :D
What renderer and 3d program do you use btw?

Looks great guys.
I tried to create a car once, but it looked absolutely horrible.
Don't have the photo's anymore, since those couldn't be recovered from my old pc.
