Game won't run

Hi all, hoping you can help. The game no longer runs on my PC. Here's what happens: I run the launcher, and I get a notification "Update for game found. Current build 150502. New build 151002. Download now?" I select YES, and after a short while I get the notification "Access to the path C:\users\hn\appdata\local\microsoft\windows\inetcache\low\content.ie5 is denied".
If I select NO to the update the launcher just closes.
OS is Windows 8.1

Just so the Devs don't have to ask later, are you on steam or stand-alone?

sounds like standalone to me anyway try right clicking the shortcut and running as admin

Hi, yep - it's stand alone. I have tried running as admin before I reported the problem, same result. I've also tried to look at the permissions of the content.ie5 file itself but it seems it's some sort of system file that doesn't have changeable permissions settings.

I would reccomend moving to steam., or checking PC specs againt reccomended.

The PC is up to spec, I checked all that before buying the game. The game was running OK originally. If a move to Steam is the answer am I able to use the same game key I've bought for the stand alone version? If not.... it's not an option.

you just convert your stand-alone key into a steam key in your profile. It's that easy
