I have windows 10 and have played before the newest giant update. It will only make it to the stage mentioned above. It does not freeze, it just does nothing.

Please upload or copy paste your GameLog.txt here so that we can take a look. Without that there is no way to tell what's going wrong.
You find the file in Documents\My Games\Automation
