Adding an engine wich you have made before doesnt work

I'm encountering problems with adding an existing engine to another car.

I want to add an inline 4 engine (NA) and would easily fit into the engine bay. But the game wont let me , when i get to the engine part (where i can select a new one or an existing one) i select a inline 4 engine (only 1.5ltr) to an US muscle car but it wont let me, i tried double clicking but still it wont let me go on, i tried editing tabs from the trim after i double clicked but it only allows me to alter two more tabs and then it gives me the Lock sign and cant do anything any more.

This is crazy since i can fit an V8 in there with ease, so why can't i get my inline 4 in there. Also like my other thread i get the same error when i try to go further in the tabs.

Something is going wrong in the stand alone app but i cant generate any logs or what so ever.

the gt-40 like body with a mid engine layout,

i can rebuild that engine and it will fit perfectly, so i don't know what the problem is.
