Steam won't work.

This happens when I try to launch it.
I have tried everything suggested in "Steam version Failed to launch"
Still doesn't work

Is Steam runnning? That's usually the message it pops up if Steam isn't open.

Is the Steam client Service running?
Can be found in Task Manager under Services:

And Steam is logged in obviously?
I'm currently looking through Steam developers support area looking into this. As it seems this does happen. Give me a while.

Ok a couple of quick things.
It could be for some crazy reason. Your Steam client has failed to update, and the SteamAPI we use is too new. In Steam if you go Help -> Aboui Steam What does that window display?

What is the Built Date on your Steam? (In about) and Package Versions?
Have you tried to simply restart Steam?
