Port old models

I'm gonna be short.

When i uninstalled the standalone i saved the game folder from "my documents"
Is there any way to port the old models into the steam version, or not because it will collide with the "family" feature ?

They won't work, the reason is exactly the one you mentioned.

Old engines/models are usually incompatible due to changed internals in the game. That is the usual thing on almost every update.
