Sadness

It's been nearly a year since I tried to purchase Automation, due to difficulties in the past with paypal (someone tried to steal nearly $1000 from me, so the account, my bank account associated, and my debit cards associated are all locked down, paypal rejects all of them weather or not I log in), and I'm still stuck with only the demo. It really makes me sad that with all the payment options available, including ones with no fee processing (like bitcoin with the bonus of being available in any currency) you guys still only accept paypal or steam (Valve gets enough of my money, they don't need to be intercepting it on the way to you guys as well). I did have an e-mail chat with you guys some time ago (back around march/april when I tried to purchase last time), I've been patiently waiting it out and hoping you guys would stumble upon a solution other than paypal, that solution never came.

So now I'll offer up a solution of my own. Coinbase. They are a bitcoin payment processor that allows people to send payments to you in BTC, and within minutes converts that payment into your choice currency and deposits to your bank account. Faster than paypal could ever hope to be.

Re: Sadness

Yeah, we were actually pondering adding some kind of bitcoin payment option, just to encourage it's use as we're quite fond of the concept.

What many people don't realize is that it's actually startlingly difficult to incorporate many other traditional payment methods besides paypal, we've found most of the ones we've looked into have been an impossible pile of corporate red tape to get access to, and a huge number of them don't seem to support Australia. Whilst we are thinking of doing bitcoin and may indeed add that I'd say the best solution for non-paypal users would be just to go through Steam once it's up there, we're not too bothered by the cut they take as it's pretty fair for the services they offer)

Re: Sadness

It really is a bummer when you have problems with payment and can't purchase something. I've been in the same boat myself, so I know how you feel.

I guess your best bet is to either resolve your issues with Paypal, or whatever or whoever is causing you problems, or wait a few months for early access.

Re: Sadness

Given how horrible it is to deal with PayPal (I've dealt with them before and they are totally useless) id say the bet would be to get someone else to buy it.
