Idk how to fix this issue... Help? I have a Dell XPS M1330with the NVIDIA GeForce 8400M video card

What's that log file from, is that from the DirectX installer's log?

its from the Directx notepad log

Not sure on that one. If directX won't install properly that's more of a Windows issue than anything else.

I know sometimes it ends up that you have to do a repair install/reinstall of windows to fix that kind of problem, but not sure in your case, might be worth searching the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
