Crash at game load

Hi,
I played the demo just when it first came out, but now as a student of automotive tech I have a notebook and decided to finally buy the game, but unfortunately the demo doesn't run. :(

Please see the attached screenshot for the error

I have winXP with admin rights, installed in default directory

I checked this thread and nothing suggested there seems to help. viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1053

Hopefully this is not because of hardware, because my notebook is not so strong as the requirements, although it does run 'fairly new' games, just with not very playable performance. But it runs them. That's why I'm hoping this is a software issue. (Cause all I care about is the engine design, it might as well run just a few fps)

Notebook spec: 900 Intel Celeron, Intel GMA 4500M, 2 GB

Thanks :)

Re: Crash at game load

I don't hold our high hopes for that laptop I am afraid.

The graphics drivers are very old, so give them an update by downloading the latest from here (I hope I found the right ones): https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail ... y&lang=eng

I would also download the open multiplayer version, as this has some updated graphics options as well. Get both the launcher: https://s3.amazonaws.com/automationbeta ... _Setup.exe

and the update: https://s3.amazonaws.com/automationbeta ... _Patch.exe

Within the options window of the new launcher, untick SSAO, FXAA and put the quality slider all the way to the left.

Re: Crash at game load

I updated my drivers, however I can't access the updated multiplayer launcher...

The patch is fine though

Re: Crash at game load

It should of updated by itself now anyway. If you open the launcher, it should say Automation Launcher B49 at the top. Or ask to update to that version.
