problem with game opening, please help :)

attempted to read or write protected memory this is often an indication that other memory is corrupt

this is the error message i am getting when i try to play the game

I know its not my pc as it is extremely new, and damn well kicks ass, and i have never had a problem before that is similiar to this

Next thing to try, is it installed in a non standard location?

May do, if there has been a DirectX resdist update since you last installed directX, there are typically at least one every few months

Can you try installing(reinstallting) the VC++ runtime found here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5582

It should of installed silently with the Automation install, but may of failed.

Also reporting in this this issue. Launcher starts, click "Play Demo", splash screen shows, audio starts, black screen with a cursor after splash screen, then ctd and error.

Config:
Installed to default directory (c:\programdata\automation (programdata?!))
M11x R2 Laptop
Same issue with integrated Intel and discrete Nvidia video
Win7 Pro x64 SP1
Running as administrator
