Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Bug Reports

I somehow managed to complete a scenario (General --> Designed Sabotage) with an Infinite score.

I'm guessing a divide by 0 with the smothness of 0.0? :P

Well, the scenarios is supposed to be doubly-broken :) insane scores ought to be possible. Infinite is the first time I see there though xD

Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Bug Reports

Just tried out the new standalone update (150702) and it seems the delete button doesn't work on the engines list in the sandbox mode (it does on the models list).
Caution : exhibits bias towards high-reving NA engines.

Same version, and same situation here.

Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Bug Reports

I have ran into an issue with launching the game and the error prevents the game from continuing to the main menu. (If I placed this post in the wrong spot I'm sorry)

Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Bug Reports

Not sure if this is an Automation bug or Steam got borked somehow, but I just got a "Fatal stalled cross-thread pipes" error, after finally getting Automation to load(frustrating, considering it took me almost two hours and several restarts to get it to boot at all today(though most of it was Steam itself screwing up). :( :(

Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Bug Reports

The stats (or the descriptions) for Forged and Lightweight Forged pistons are incorrect. Forged pistons are listed as having "Very High" Emissions, while Lightweight Forged pistons are listed as "High" Emissions; however, upon switching between the two, I see that Lightweight Forged pistons actually have higher emissions than Forged pistons!

Also, friendly reminder about Headers not being effected by the Quality slider :P

More specifically, it fails when I make a new engine in the engines sandbox(not in the cars one), on the other hand, when I make an engine in the process of designing the new car, it doesn't fail to delete the engines I made.

Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Bug Reports

Speaking of engine deletion, I too ran into the issue of the Delete button not working. I went to work around it using the drop down menu at the top of the engine designer, and I had to scroll to the bottom of the list to get to the ones I wanted to delete. Upon clicking the trash can, the engine would not disappear. I kept clicking it, and then the scroll bar disappeared.

IT DELETED 5 ENGINES THAT IT SHOULD NOT HAVE, INCLUDING ENGINES THAT WERE IN CARS.
It seems the trash can did not scroll with the list or something.

Another issue I just came across: If you click the Model Fixtures tab, and then go to the Trim section (transmission, etc), the car will not have it's Trim Fixtures.

Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Bug Reports

Since the Steam Workshop update, when I try to use the ToggleThumbnailMaker(), the game freezes (with or without mods installed, or using a fresh installation).

Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Bug Reports

This bug has been around for a while. When you have your economy set as mpg, the stats on the side that show the previous number still displays lt/100km. The mph and kmh one was patched quite a while ago. Maybe you can do this.
Thanks

Something I noticed was that SOHC has the most expensive yearly service, was this intended?

Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Bug Reports

Made this car with sufficient cooling for the brakes and engine.
Car was doing great and was just tweaking to make it more realistic.
Upon adding downforce to the "Full Tray" Option, my cooling for both systems dropped to 0.0 Kj. No matter where I move the sliders it stays at that value.
My reliability has dropped from 71.1 to 0.0, for obvious reasons.
Changed no fixtures since installing them originally. Changed no Engine specs once reaching a spot I was comfortable with. Changed no other stats except to add aforementioned downforce after finding quite a bit of lift on the tracks, though performance is very close to real world (Again except for what seems like very high grip levels being reported, but the car handles as if it has the correct real world numbers).
Dunno what I did, otherwise. Broke my car.

Uploading the export for you guys to look at.
Thinking this might be a bug? Or did I Bamjax something on my own without realizing it?

Truly,
Tex

Edit: Originally the braking cooling was set to Max (20.1 Kj I think was the number that came up with), and the engine cooling was set to one tick more than the minimum the engine needed.

Re: Open Beta (B150619+) Bug Reports

Saved the car before sending it to you.
Went to bed, Woke up. Loaded car in game, issue persists... and now all the fixtures (except the headlights?) Are completely gone?
