Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

Sometimes when i try to make a new model for some cars the game shows an error that says something like missing Results (a nil value) and it crashes :?
I tried several car types and it nearly always does this

B1355
Crashing on my friends computer when I try to make new models of existing platforms (built in b1355) UNLESS I revise and resave that platform first during the current game session. If I restart the game the problem happens again. The testing window is also unbearably slow now, his pc is a little under minimum spec to run the game (but it can work in windowed mode resolution 800x600 all visuals turned off or all the way down) the wheel spun for over 15 minutes before i gave up.

The platform revision related bug should be easily fixable. Do you get an error message?
Seems like fixing the "my car doesn't want to start driving" has caused all kinds of issues :) we'll look into that.

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

No crash report, just a stopped responding message from Windows. As for the testing it was not just driving on tracks it was all test stats that never loaded. Just that initial wheel spinning.

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

Hopefully this isnt an old bug, but i got this in B1354 (havent updated to 1355 because I want to use the BRC tracks). It is a similar error to the above one, but it is line :108: and it is attempting to index 'PanelMaterial' (a nil value)

This was caused by saving a platform with corrosion resistant steel with the year as 2014, then setting the model to 1976 and clicking save without changing anything else. Now when I try to enter sandbox it will crash with the same error. Platform file uploaded here:
VW Golf MKI B1354+ - Rev - 0.lua
(17.96 KiB) Downloaded 255 times

a quick look in the save file tells me that it has applied the Chassis material "ChassisMat_CRESteel_Name" in the Panel material table (6) where it should have used the panel material equivalent.

To fix it without losing the entire platform I changed the year back to 2014 and I copied the panel material table (5) from the file below in place of the broken panel material table (6) in the platform above. The replacement file used aluminium panels and it correctly changed to them

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

I've got a serious bug here. :?
when I test out my I4 engine, I can't hear any engine sounds at all at some particular zoom levels! in some zoom levels, I can hear the engine sounds normally it's weird....
I wanna see this problem fixed as soon as possible. because the sound is one of the most important aspects of the game. :)
thanks
