Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

With B1355 I have problems with my "random" rally tracks when starting the test run:

---------------------------
Lua Error:
---------------------------
Step() failed!: [string "--File: .\scripts\client\functional\ModelDe..."]:2755: attempt to index field 'results' (a nil value)
---------------------------
Wiederholen Abbrechen
---------------------------

This happens for all rally tracks (Bavarian Rally Stage 1-3), the cars I tried have participated in the rally, so it was working before. I tried adding the Corner_Coefficient to the track definition (this was not needed before) but it didn't help. The Example Track and the Green Hell are working fine. The only difference between the handmade tracks and the generated ones: in the randomly generated tracks, track slopes, sportiness factor and camber are some non-rounded values (i.e. 0.64144). Could that be it?

the computer shifts at optimum rpms, so if peak power is at 8700 and peak torque is 6500, the computer will keep it within that window as often as is possible If you want to see 10, 000 set the top speed really low so it's in the high gear a lot and it will keep revving until the power is too low to continue.

 thanks. I figured that, but probably i didn´t noticed before...

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

Hi all!

Just installed B1355 after having no problems whatsoever with previous builds.
When I build a platform, engine and a model and want to test it, nothing happens.
From that situation I can choose from Drivetrain to Suspension and make changes.
Just testing won't work.
Removed all the previous engines, models, platforms already.

BTW, Keep up the good work!!

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

Installed 1355.
Testing works here, but takes longer to start. Also, now I can see "throttle feathering" during acceleration to prevent wheel-spin. Previously throttle showed 100% during acceleration.

EDIT: The car seems to drive differently around the track, seems more realistic. Good work guys! :)

Yes, I have to time it but it takes muuuuuuch longer.
But eventually it works.

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

This is what I got when I tried to time it:

---------------------------
Lua Error:
---------------------------
Step() failed!: [string "--File: .\scripts\client\functional\CEngine..."]:225: attempt to index field 'Aspiration' (a nil value)
---------------------------
Opnieuw Annuleren

I can't recreate the test not starting, can you upload a platform which does that when you create a new model?

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

This one took about 4 minutes to show up on the screen.
Seems to be a problem in the turbo engine.
When I add an NA-engine it works fine!

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

Game works fine with a normally aspirated engine!
The game doesn't freeze mind you.
You can rotate the car and zoom in or out
