Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

This is probably a lower priority bug than some of the other ones, but the big station wagon body only goes up to 5 seats, instead of 7 or 8.

How many station wagons can you find in the 80's that have more than 5 seats?

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

As bugs go I would have trouble of thinking of something that could be less important to fix, but I noticed that in build 1354 (and possibly in other builds where I just didn't notice it) on the left piston of the crossplane V8 which is furthest from the cam pulleys that the explosion animation is sometimes missed. This is most noticeable at mid-high RPM in the test mode where you get control of the throttle. It also happens to a lesser extent on the right hand piston closest to the cam pulleys.

Let me know if you need more details about my computer/drivers/engine, because this bug is clearly game breaking and needs fixing instantly :P

Yeah, that's a lingering one that I thought we'd fixed! :P

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

I haven't seen it raised before, but on Der Bayers 1st test track for the Bavarian Rallye Challenge, I can use a 300 odd kW 2.1L motor but when I choose my high tune 400+kW the sim doesn't run and displays negative numbers. Literally the only difference on the model is the engine which works most of the time on the other tracks (however sometimes these go tits up too). Sometimes changing gear spacing seems to let it work?

If someone wants my engine/model Luas to test this feel free to ask.

EDIT - I cannot recreate this now, possibly a ghost in the machine or I've changed a setting that was causing strife

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

In addition, Engine Builder, 1965, there doesn't appear to be any performance/price/labour difference between the Performance and Standard intakes (4 Barrel) on an I6. Have not tested this on other motors.

The thing is: look at its size, that probably is not a size that would be built with 7+ seats. :) There will be bigger ones supporting 7 or 8 seats. I might be wrong here, if you find something in this size or smaller that came with 7-8 seats we can easily put that option in.

The Volvo wagon and Taurus wagon my family owned had the rear facing third row that folded into the floor, no idea how that could be added to the game though. I'm fine with waiting for full sized wagons :)

I think both of those were much bigger compared to the Felicia estate.

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

if i set an engine to go 10.000rpm, and test it in the track, it never does that rpm, and the gear change is under 8.000rpm in some gears...

the computer shifts at optimum rpms, so if peak power is at 8700 and peak torque is 6500, the computer will keep it within that window as often as is possible If you want to see 10, 000 set the top speed really low so it's in the high gear a lot and it will keep revving until the power is too low to continue.

Here's a bug that I've noticed: turbocharger noises aren't audible in model testing, only in engine testing.

Re: Open Beta (B1352+) Bug Reporting Thread

Did you try to move all old files from the models and platforms folders in Documents\Automation somewhere else?

If yes, do you get an error message?
