"external component has thrown an exception"

Just bought and downloaded the game tonight. I go to launch the game, I can select sandbox mode and begin building a car. Once I move to begin building an engine, a windows appears "external component has thrown an exception." The game then launches another window over the existing one, and when I close one window, they both close. Any suggestions?

Heyya! Sorry this is very very late. If you are running windowed mode you will probably be able to handle that exception better. Does it give you any specific LUA error? Does it always happen or does it depend on prior choices you've made in the chassis design part?
